Not joking for even a second.

That soul catcher twat was presumably the best they could come up with to give Friday the chips he always should have had.  As a story mechanic it sucked, but Friday was a better, more interesting and realised character, no question.  AND they all ended up having actual personalities in a first for a Rogue strip.  Once you had Friday, Gunnar, Lucky, Top, Eightball and Venus together it had the makings of the best of both worlds.  And then was dropped.  Daft move.  Made all the ballsing about with actually GETTING to that point seem like a waste.  Which it was.

Fair play.  If you're going to mis-spell it, do it properly.

Ah yes, once Friday got shit the second time and they started commisioning stories for continuity reasons he was a dead duck.  Still a better realised character than the original Rogue by a long chalk.  Even if it took a while to give him the biochipped pals he always should have had....

But yeah, if I were the type to indulge in "what's canon, what's not" fanboy wank, that'd be a pretty good place to start.

Isn't it a Smithverse story?  Not sure how that one works as I'm thick.  It's probably Indigo Prime isn't it, in which case I already have my explaination why I don't catch that reference...

I presume that Durham Red and Rogue might be said to share a "universe" because Red share's Alpha's (and therefore Dredd's) timeline, and Rogue hopped dimensions once to meet Dredd in the 90s.  But the point there is "jumped dimensions" hence perhaps NOT actually sharing the same universe/dimension.

By no means a comprehensive list, this is a list of the trades of Hellblazer VAGUELY in order, check the Hellblazer wikipedia page for what issues are yet to be collected and so on.  Some of them are out of print, but aren't hard to come by online.

Original Sins, The Devil You Know, The Fear Machine, The Family Man and Pandemonium written by Jamie Delano.

Dangerous Habits, Bloodlines, Fear and Loathing, Tainted Love, Damnation's Flame, Rake at The Gates of Hell and Son of Man written by Garth Ennis.

Rare Cuts written by Jamie Delano, Grant Morrison & Garth Ennis.

Haunted and Setting Sun written by Warren Ellis.

Hard Time, Good Intentions, Freezes Over and Highwater written by Brian Azzarello.

Red Sepulchre, Black Flowers, Staring At The Wall, Stations Of The Cross, Reasons to Be Cheerful, The Gift and All His Engines written by Mike Carey.

Empathy is the Enemy and The Red Right Hand written by Denise Mina.

Joyride, The Laughing Magician and Roots of Coincidence written by Andy Diggle.

Dark Entries by Ian Rankin.

Scab by Peter Milligan.

There's also Papa Midnite & Chas spin-offs but they suck and should probably be avoided.  Diggle's Lady Constantine trade isn't too bad (John's ancestor introduced in Sandman) but it's not a JC story really.

Good luck with that, Christov.

Agreed about Millar's use of the C word.

I'm off to check my Complete Nemesis trades......  It'd be a shame if it ISN'T there, but I've READ it and never touched any of these annuals so can't figure out HOW i've read it if it isn't there.......

She makes a fair point if space is at a premium.  I'll be offloading my own progage and megage soonish as I need to move.  Won't be easy, but I barely have space as it is and am likely to have far less in the next place.

I feel your pain, Thrips.

I can't imagine Joe giving a shit about how good or otherwise a singer is.  This idea, even putting to one side the lack of time-travel technology or bringing fictional characters into our reality, is just doomed.

I don't think he'd do it.  There's nothing that would make Joe do it, it would bring the department into disrepute.....
