Here's an all new improved version with the mouth properly open (with gap between teeth). Check it out:

I was going to have Dredd say "Oh, what a gay day!" ... but I decided against it.

"Stop getting your knickers in a twist about nothing, and get back to enjoying or not enjoying the content of the bloody magazine in question. "

Slightly unfair comment, perhaps?

Readers are entitled to be a little upset when it takes a few issues before the editor admits the page count has gone down. The Meg is ?4.50 - which is a considerable amount for a comic - so it's not unreasonable for fans to want 'value' for money.

Don't wish to be controversial but wouldn't it make more sense to scrap the Heatseekers section than cut 16 other pages?  Most fans don't read the Meg for features on films, tv and other comics. No-one would be that upset if that part of the Meg was removed.

"$2.50"

Or pay in Pound Sterling if you prefer!

I think the Meg should cut all the reprints even though I  dearly love CHarley's War. Possibly cut the Meg to three 10-15 page strips per month, reduce the page count to, say, 30 - 40 pages in total, cut the price of the Meg to about $2.50 and hope for the best.

It seems the Meg is in terminal decline what with the large price increase, weaker paper quality (rather thin and lumpy) and now the reduced page count, so why not go back to a 2000AD style format and hope the core readership keep it going?

The standard of the strips is usually high.
