If it's raining too much I just waited right there and made a cup of tea or something until it stopped. You don't lose stamina or slip if you're not moving. It's a bit annoying sometimes but I felt the way the weather and environmental effects are actually used in some of the puzzles and design offset this quite well.

Agree about the cooking stuff though. Can't really be arsed with that sort of thing at the best of times and the fact that you had to sit through the same animation every bloody time (with no option to produce multiples of the same dish) had me tearing my hair out.

This has blown my mind.

What on Earth is a "pantry boy"?

After 20 odd years of owning and liking This Charming Man, I find that it's not 'a jumped-up country boy' after all.
U wot mate?!

Interesting stuff. If I'm honest, I can't remember when (or if) I last reread Song of the Surfer. I can tell you that I thought it was fairly dreadful at the time it ran, but I can't for the life of me remember why that was.

I wonder if there is some way I can give it a fair try now.

Switch has become my Achilles heel for work.Bloody can't put it down at the moment.highly recommend Owlboy and Celeste for anyone who's looking for something new to play.

Don't buy Skyforce Reloaded. Just... don't. Minutes to hours in seconds.
Is this just an update of the one that was free on PS+ a couple of months ago or a completely new game?

Hopelessly addicted to Stardew Valley on the Switch. I can't be trusted to work from home anymore as I'll think "Oh, I'll have a quick blast on this while I make a cup of tea." and look up four hours later.

Is that Served Cold volume pure Al Ewing? Will be an absolute belter.

Abnett wrote a couple of Dredds around Prog 900 but nothing since. I guess having Sinister Dexter running for so long let him get all the daftness out of his system.

Excellent stuff. I did start to collate this stuff for a poll thread over Christmas but I never finished what I'd started.

If you're excluding the Christmas Progs, then the only thing missing is the Rogue Trooper one-off from Prog 2050.

I'll exclude Dredd from my rankings, as I think it's fairer to rate Dredd stories against each other.

I guess I'm big on detectives these days.

01. Brink.
02. Absalom.
03. Hope.

Of course, Lawless would be in there if we were including Meg strips.

Judge Park notices that Inga is an android in the story The Gingerbread Man, but he doesn't go into details regarding his empirical knowledge from the Academy, nor how you detect such an advanced thing. So I'm just wondering, how does a layman detect a series 7?
Doesn't he say that he did a special assignment at the academy? Or was that someone else?

Classifieds / Boxes of free Megazines in Glasgow
13 February, 2018, 01:24:37 PM
Anybody out there interested in a pile of JD Megazines for the princely sum of nothing? Or a bottle of wine, which is roughly what I paid for the first 250 of them!

I think I have issues 1 - 340 or so. Three or four magazine boxes full anyway.

If you come and pick them up from my house in the south of Glasgow, you can even keep the boxes.

Only catch is it really needs to be this week.

I'd agree that the current line-up is extremely poor. However, I thought the same about the first run of stories in 2017 and that eventually picked up.

I can handle a run that I don't fully enjoy because it's always been transient but it definitely feels worse when your own personal ratio goes below 50% and I'm really only enjoying Brass Sun at the moment.
