Wow. I was looking forward to this, but at £18.99 I think I'll be giving it a miss.

Personally I'm not sure making an adult only spin off from Doctor Who is fair on the kids (who I'm not particularly down with, I hates 'em). Either make it for kids, or make seomething else.

Anyone remember OTT?

Cough, The Wire...

Oh, INdeed!

Genre TV really has come on in leaps and bounds in the last ten to fifteen years since The Next Generation started incorporating ongoing plot strands, but the output of HBO really knocks everything else into a cocked hat. Deadwood and The Wire are two of the best things I've ever seen.

But can somebody please tell me when the third series of The Wire's coming out on Region 2 DVD. It's already been put back an couple of times and it completely disappeared from Amazon's listings a month or so back.

Before: look like a normal person.
After: have your head appear strangely out of focus.

Ed Byrne. An insufferable little cockcheese of a man and a borderline sex pest at university.

No offence to the family, Tordel.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The War Machine was bloody brilliant.

All that Hit stuff was pish, mind.

Last time we visited those crazy Westboro folks I almost thought it was an Onion-esque parody

Incredible isn't it? The first time I saw them, it wasn't until I listened to one of the sermons on their homepage that I realised it was for real.

Stone Temple Pilots

Ah. No. STP were an all-girl group who had one fantastic single around the same time that Hole and Babes in Toyland were starting out.

Oh god forgot STP, "Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart".

Is that the same STP who did "Hey, Bastard!" I love that song.

Ooops. Please accept my apologies Kambei. I was a bit drunk and enraged, although that is clearly no defence for being needlessly offensive.

Sorry.

Sorry if I'm speaking out of turn, but I'm getting pretty fucking sick of this.

Why not leave the 2000AD Wikipedia entries to someone who actually knows something about the comic? If nobody who does can be arsed writing something, what's lost?

As far as Dredd GNS go, I'd like to see The Pit reprinted, as its now become impossible to find. I want to read it..
It comes up on E-bay a fair bit, although that guy's having a laugh if he think's he'll get £95. I got one for a fiver last year.

http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.co.uk%2Fws%2F&fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=dredd+pit&category0=">Pit for Sale

Of course, it'd be nice to get it in the same format as the others.

During my 2000AD wilderness years I used to flick through it in Smiths and I have vague memories of Dredd and Anderson being kidnapped and put on trial by the Sovs in the Vatican (I think.) What was this story and has it been reprinted anywhere/should it be?

Is "One Last Night in the House of Sin" in volume 1 or is that going to be in volume 2 as well as the Yeowell stories?

No, volume 1 ends with Battleship Potemkin. I bought it on Friday and I've read it twice so far. The end of Love and War affected me a lot more than Potemkin. I can't wait six months for the rest of this story...

I also seem to recall Jon mentioning that a TPB of the original VCs was in the pipeline for next year. Obviously, I've no idea where it fits into the calendar, but it allows more room for rampant speculations.

I'm guessing that Books of Invasions should be vloume 3 as Jon also said the remastered version of vol 2 was just about to hit the shops.
