Can you post some samples of the interior art. I'd love to see it.

One of the reasons the 1995 movie failed was the stupid comedy sidekick undermining every bit of tension and gravitas. I can't see how a robot with a speech impediment would be a big improvement on that.

So anyone out there got Skype who fancies stepping in?
Just need you for an hour or so from about 7pm on Tuesday
First come first served. If nobody wants to (and who could blame ya) then I'll sort something else out

The interview didn't really seem to go anywhere,
I think that's just Pat - he doesn't really "do" trains of thought, just keeps randomly firing that mental ideas cannon, which means that everything he says is interesting, but it does tend to loop around and go off track a lot.
A really good chat, he certainly whetted my appetite for the new Flesh.
The only annoying thing was that Flint kept disappearing so Pat seemed to be having a conversation with himself at times!

No, I was impressed at the chattiness of it- as has been said, "just two blokes talking" was absolutely the way to go. Pertinent stuff from Flint- though I disagreed with a lot of what he (or "you" if you're reading) said- including The Foggy Dew being a "gay bar"... since WHEN? It was always an alternative/ pre-Dominion bar when I lived there, and when I had a New Years Eve fight with the owner in 2002 and got subsequently barred.

No indeed, but it's an important time-management issue to eliminate such places from my Optimum Pulling Circuit. Not that I've pulled anyone (new) in two decades, mind.

Listened to half of this on the way home - great stuff, well done Flint, you adorably starstruck fanboy!
I don't think Pat is correct about there being no negative reactions to Locke's 'insipid' (!) artwork on Birthday Boy. Check out the Prog Review threads for 1613-1616. A lot of unimpressed opinons there, even some of the type of talk that gets forumites a bad rep.
But wait, The Foggy Dew is a gay bar?!? I'll admit it's a lot fancier than it was when I used to drink there when it was just the Central Bank side, but a gay bar? My brother had his stag do there, is there something he isn't telling me?

I suspect it is to do with his cold - it often happens after he sneezes or coughs and it might be the mike is being pushed away from him, Pat can clearly here him OK though so perhaps it is something else.

It is a bizarre choice. Is Pat Mills big in the USA?

Is it too late to ask another question?
Quote from: Tim Tailz on 03 December, 2010, 12:53:36 AMOf course it is!
For some reason my Media Player has decided that the podcasts genre is Gospel.

A couple of questions
Why did British comics like 2000AD tend to go for the multi story approach rather than the US Marvel and DC comics format of one character per comic ?
Does Pat think there will be a movie based on one of his wartime comic book characters such as "Charley's War"?
