Books & Comics / Re: Brandon Graham’s Prophet

I'm thoroughly loving Prophet, best thing on the market right now.

If you are enjoying the art you can drool over Brandon & Simon's pencils over at http://www.mcconnellart.com/

I read the last couple of issues before going to sleep last night and it invaded my dreams with alien organic textures.

Looks like I opened a proper can of worms, it was just meant to be an off the cuff question.

There was a time when you couldn't get a piece of Brendan's art for love or money. I looked for a piece for years, now he has Mr Moy as a dealer I maybe own too much.

Also loving the McMahon/Gibbons info. I guess the common theme is you know when something is not just not quite right.

Blimey I was right. I'd love a bit of Mirkin though.

Is there anything we grown up earthlets can do to help Brett out? Flog a print or just find a way of sending some cash his way.

Does this pic on eBay look a bit odd, or is it just me?

This one looks a bit looser than his usual style.

Never been to a comic event in my 40+ years on this planet. Might just give TB a try this year

Books & Comics / Re: Which Online Comic Shop Do YOU use?

Brilliant topic - just what I was looking for. I've been getting my stuff on a monthly basis from Ace Comics for years, but in the last six months they have been pants. Missing issues, doubles sent you name it, they have been rubbish.

Maybe time to move on

Sorry Buddy  :-[, yes that is the page I added to my cart. That one and the Spider-Man cover rough.

I'd buy the lot if I could get away with it....

Sounds cool, don't mind you to me or me to you. At work we're a big Fedex customer so last time I got the parcel intercepted and handed to me.

I'm sure Albert would be OK with it. Now just which ones...

More art posted on http://www.albertmoy.com/newgalleryroom.asp

I mulling over a couple of pieces it's just the shipping that sends the price right up.

Quote from: "SuperSurfer"Oh boy, reminds me of way back, when FP in Denmark Street was full of classic era 2000ad art which was going for about £50 a page if I recall correctly. As a student that seemed off the scale expensive.

Yup, I remember them as well. I think there was a DPS from the Cursed Earth for £125. Back when I had no cash. :(

I spent too much on a page from Punks Rule a couple of years ago. Don't regret it, great piece.

Like Colin says - no new paper Bolland. What price perfection eh?
