Don't know what's happening with Back From The Depths yet, but it wouldn't be the first time the forum's had to move somewhere else.

As for the Temple APA site goes, John Kirkham is apparently looking into the alternatives.

You people who prefer the remake of The Fly to the original are all IDIOTS!

The original has Vincent Price, a man with an actual head of a fly, that bit at the end with the web and the fate of the cat.

The remake has  those two people out of Earth Girls Are Easy, lots of icky yuckiness and the crappest looking fly-human hybrid thing I've ever seen in my life! I actually preferred the one in the sequel.

Ergo, original better.

So there.

Didn't Crisis have "2000ad presents" written on the cover?

You shouldn't be looking at another man's Venus anyway, via a mirror or otherwise.

The way Scottish folk on this forum will sometimes randomly stick Scottish words in the middle of their posts and non-Scottish folk will rarely ask what the hell they're on about.

Dave Hailwood brought this up on the Temple APA site. An update from Ning was posted on April 16th stating their plans.

QuoteAn Update from Ning
Posted by Jason Rosenthal on April 16, 2010 – 3:13 pm

Hi Everyone,

As many of you know, we made a decision yesterday to focus 100% of the company on enhancing the features and services we offer to paying Ning Creators. The tens of thousands of you who already use our paid service represent over 75% of our traffic, and we've heard repeatedly from you ways that we can deliver a killer service to help make your Ning Network more effective. Some examples of things we are working on that you've asked for include new APIs, a new mobile experience and new advertising and revenue opportunities.

As part of this change, we'll be phasing out our free service.  On May 4, 2010, we will share with you all of the details of our new offering, including features and price points, through a series of blog posts, emails, and conference calls. We recognize that there are many active Ning Networks for teachers, small non-profits, and individuals and it's our goal to have a set of product and pricing options that will make sense for all of them. For Ning Creators using our free service who choose to move to another service, we will offer a migration path and time to make that change. We will still continue to allow free trials and test networks on the Ning Platform.

We look forward to talking to you further on May 4th.

If you're a member of a Ning forum and you haven't noticed anyone mentioning this yet, it might be a good idea to bring it up yourself. I think a lot of people will be totally oblivious to this.

Waitaminute... Isn't "Vulcan" the volcano god?

My family's always got on rather well with Vulcans. Maybe I should have a word with him about all this ash in the sky. Nothing worse than ash in the sky, (unless you're in the middle ages and need Deadites killing).

Thank you sooo much volcano-god, (wanker)

The volcano-god is merely attempting to shield the fair skin of its red-headed followers by blocking out the scorching rays of the sun.

Not in Her Majesty's case it doesn't. She could only recall reigning for 10 years, when it was actually a hell of a lot longer than that and she forgot all about the space-whale and what she'd allowed and presumably that she'd been the Queen before the ship had left Earth.

Why not?

Yup.

Plus, they'd obviously been well aware for some time that it wasn't actually going to eat any children fed to it.
