I just read "Chaser" by Dean Koontz (although apparently he used a pseudonym originally). I get the impression Koontz isn't too highly regarded but I've read a heap of his stuff lately and I always find I can't put it down, the man knows how to spin a tale. This was great too, not a hint of the supernatural, just a great gritty crime thriller.

He's good until you realise he uses the same cast of characters for every book.
But the crowning moment, and the one that stopped me reading his books forever was on reading The Bad Place and finding it it has exactly the same twist he'd used in a previous book.

You should try a Nick Pope novel...

Heh, yeah I read that too. Just winced a little about him standing in the skip full of original artwork...  

I've read a few of his too. Good stuff if you don't have any preconceptions. And much more solid than a lot of similarly pigeon-holed authors.

Um, I'm reading Button Man ...for the first time. Don't shout, I hadn't heard of it....  

So here's my WIP for this month. No idea if I'm going to finish in time but I'll give it my best. All looks a bit flat as I've discarded all colour layers to upload it here. But hopefully you get the idea?  

Is it just me or are there more important issues in the world?

Today's news included a full newscrew live outside a woman's flat in Fulham.

Because she had a slight cough.

Ooh it'd be a shame to pass that one up. Though I doubt you'd just be able to stroll in the place at 2pm, as advertised....

All excellent stuff posted so far. I'm slightly panicked as this one ends next Friday and I'm still dithering over pencils and figure positioning!
