Isn't up there with American comics with art and writing, don't make me laugh. How many times do all those US characters die and come back, Yawn!

By the way when I was buying my first issues at 8 pence a programme in '77 I only had money from the paper round that I did and that was a pittance. In life you live within your means and if a couple of quid a week is too much then I wonder what you are spending all your spare cash on.
By the way a lot of us Forty somethings have families, mortgages and bills to pay out for so no matter what age group and wage bracket you are in you should always make room for the finer things in life.

From his headcam shot when he climbs the lamp you can see that they put some tape stuff on it to aid his climb. I thought he got up there way too fast for my liking ;)

The only weird thing that I can recall at this moment in time is this!

It was over one Christmas period when I was on Guard shift at Maidstone's barracks. Me and Dinger (his surname was Bell, how original) were asleep one afternoon after a nights shift. These were 4 man rooms but only two of us were in them at that time. I was on my right side facing the wall and Dinger was over the other side of the room. Anyway as I was asleep I felt something tower over me and at first I thought it was Dinger taking the piss and getting ready to shock me awake. So I turned over to ruin his suprise.
Well I tried to turn over but I couldn't move, so I tried to relax and then turn over once more but couldn't. I was fucking paralysed and that's when the panic set in. I lay there straining with every muscle just so I could try and move something but nothing happened. I concentrated really hard and with every ounce of my being I tried to move something or just emit a sound. I was shitting myself and this seemed to go on for ages.
Eventually when I was straining to move and speak I managed to let a shout out and stretch my body, thank God for that. Dinger awoke due to my sudden commotion and I told him what had just happened and we just laughed it off, as you do.
Since then I have found out that this is known as 'Sleep Paralysis'. I only had it that one time but believe me it was petrifying.

Sleep well tonight fellow forumites as it may happen to you!!!!!

Don't you know Peter. In the future they will tarmac those old tracks and then they will become private roads for MP's and their cohorts.

Lovely piece. Reminds me of all the times I spent away from home from Christmas.

I'm in total agreement with vzzbux. Very atmospheric and I love the way you used Simon Palmer as inspiration!

Hello stranger, glad to see another of our American cousins joining the good ship 'THRILLPOWER'. It seems that a lot of you are jumping on at the moment. Anyway I won't recommend anything other than everything after '77 ;)

That is it Mike.
Lets let the other Trekkers have a look but this is definately it for me.

When you put the credit up for Carlos and yourself (I mean you have done all the work) I'll send this off to get made.

Thanks once again for helping us out with all this. John

What about if we have the 2000AD logo below the ultra-low-altitude shuttlecraft in the middle with a couple of characters heads either side, so that people know we are 2000AD fans!

Anyone.....
