I just found out that Nancy Bird Walton passed away on the 13th of this month aged 93.
She was one of the early female pilots and she's also had an Airbus A380 named after her in the Quantas fleet.
They don't make them like her very often.

There's a mention of this event in ImagineFX issue 40 page 28.

I must say that the DPM on the combats is not quite right and the sights on the SA80 are wrong and, stop it John.......
No I really do like them, especially the squaddie one, GOOD WORK

I shall try and do the following

1- Buy more Dredd items.
2- Go home to Hartlepool and see my family, sometime.
3- Lose a wee bit of weight by using the wii fit as a stepping board. I just can't fit jogging about the streets in anymore as it bores me to death.
4- Decorate the house with any spare money once I have done number 1.

Just heard on the radio that Eartha Kitt has died of colon cancer. Can't find anything on the web yet. Sad news as she'll always be Catwoman to me with that purrrrrrrrr.

Fleeces and Beanies please.

I got the fleeces and beenies ages ago, they had the Dredd badge, SD badge and the 2000ad logos on them.
In fact I got them at one of the London Dreddcons along with the skateboard and polo shirts and a lot more. I ended up with two black sacks of goodies and on the way to the train station I was propositioned by a couple of working girls.
All in all a great day out (and no I didn't take them up on their offer).
