Here's the campaign that Joanna Lumley is backing, so get tapping those keyboards and lets hope that this arse of a government will see how much the Brits love the Gurkha's and their families for what they bring to our country.

Thanks very much for that Paul. I stopped getting these due to the prices (even I have my limits) but this looks as if these will be my Christmas Presents from the family (Along with any other 2000AD stuff I can find).

It's gonna be survival of the fittest, so long as you manage to evade the nukes.
I'll be okay in my cellar ;)

Give and take is my advice (no jokes please) but so long as she doesn't mind your 2000ad habit you're quids in.
The best advice I can give for the big day is to get round and mingle with all the guests and relatives as it's one of the few times that they'll all be in the same place and they're there just for you.
Above all, enjoy yourself and I wish you both a long and happy future together :D

Is that season 4 of the Unit and if so what channel or do I have to download it!
As for Sarah Connor, I'm enjoying it, I just take it as I see it.

Off Topic / Re: Work:Life balance.
06 October, 2008, 07:22:56 PM
The problem with this work/life balance is that too many people are just plain greedy and want everything.
I was brought up to believe that you had to have money in your account before you splashed out big.
I'm not rich, far from it but I knew what I wanted as an ambition when I was at school and luckily for me achieved it early on in my life and so anything great that happens now is a bonus.
Going back to the balance, it all boils down to making sure that my work NEVER gets in the way of my family time.
I know this is hard for some people (mortgages, fuel, etc....) but every generation has it's hardships. When I left school it was all YTS & YOP schemes and we all though it was going to be a hard slog.
Remember, cut your cloth accordingly (easier said than done for some people).

News / Re: 2000ad Trading Cards
25 September, 2008, 07:52:35 AM
My cards arrived within the week (I did ask for a specific week, as I was on holiday when they came out) but some boarders cards took quite a while. So I reckon it's all down to luck.
As for the binder, it's a bit larger than the Edge binder so there will definately be room inside for a hell of a lot more cards!
