It's coming up to that most special time of the year again, so why not meet up with like minded folk, buy 2000 AD stuff and then go for a few pints and some grub, in that big city of London.

This time it's Saturday 19th December

If you don't know the drills, it's very easy. We all meet up at Forbidden Planet on Shaftesbury Avenue between 12:00 - 13:00 and then wander down Neal Street (opposite the shop) and into The Crown and Anchor, which is on the left and is a corner building.

Last time we did a short pub crawl that took in some pubs with very loose connections to 2000 AD!

There is no obligation to stay to the end, or even make it in time for the shop. If you want to come along then any time will do. All are welcome, so don't be shy, just say hello and join in.

We do have a facebook page, (link below) which you can join, if you like to keep up with things but we do post on here during the day, if we remember ;)

2000 AD Southern Contingent Gathering

As always, new faces are more than welcome, as it's always good to put a face to a name and have a laugh about everything over a pint or two.

I'll have to think of what to fill the screen with, if I do landscape. Sit closer  :D

I was the same chaps, the eagle looked way too big when we all saw the first photos but when you have the bugger in your hand, it isn't as bad as you thought. As you can see, it doesn't interfere with any of the arm movements and it isn't as big as we all feared.

The magnet helps with repositioning the angle of it slightly, as I found out when I was taking loads of photos.

Has it been a year ha ha. Well there's just so much happening that I just haven't got the time but I'm gonna try and post some more stuff up, now that a couple of firms are producing decent merchandise.

First up is the stunning Dredd figure from MEZCO, this is the basic blue one.

It has arrived and there's a few bits that caught my eye on first glance.

Rob Williams has an interview inside.
David Baillie gets a 'My Life in Comics' page
Two 2000 AD characters get a mention in the Top 25 Coolest Characters list.

In the reviews section 2000 AD is in there, alongside two of Rob Williams' currents comics.

The standard blue I ordered from Big Bad Toy Store. The Disco Dredd, from Lair of the Octopus and the NYCC exclusive was obtained for me by an absolutely delightful forum member.

Just looked at Lair of the Octopus and you can still buy the first two. Good shopping ;)

It has been delivered and my what mega packaging (I think I paid extra for that kind of protection). The actual box it comes in isn't too bad as well.
