Been out all day at a family birthday meal and now that I'm home, I find that the neighbours have mine and they're out. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

In this month's SFX, there's a small article about the convention and 2000 AD gets a mention. The normal art portfolio Como to get a gig working for Tharg but it also mentions a 2 minute pitch competition, to see if anyone is worthy of writing a Future Shock.
Is that a new thing, or has it been done before up Leeds.

What an exciting episode!

There was even a beautiful bit of sportsmanship during the final battle.

The quiz show equivalent of the Thousand Yard Stare!

From the intro when all the sad ugly mugs flashed across the screen, our hero stood out with his cheeky chappie, smiling face, hiding his unbelievable brain, the size of a planet and his killer instinct. Did you notice his sly little sideways nod to the ladies watching! As Sandi does her intro and the contestants are in shadow, you can see Buttonman swaying gently side to side, as he prepares to unleash his mental prowess upon his fellow unworthy contestants.

As Sandi goes through the questions in the first round, she stops on Buttonman and he thanks her and says it's great to be here but she ignores that and goes straight in with his question, all about movie stuff, his specialist subject.

Here comes the second pass and this time his animal magnetism stops her dead in her tracks, as even her body reacts to his manly presence. She spends a bit of time listening to his come on lines about his blog, all about women prisoners and werewolves. Surely he's in there once the filming ends, as no-one can resist a night watching that combination!

During his banter, he mentions films that begin with W's, you can see the other contestants are enthralled by this but the bloke in the wheelchair is thinking, 'W, yeah for wanker you twat, let's get on with the quiz' and he doesn't even look at Buttoman, who is stood right next to him.

After this beautiful moment on screen, she quickly moves onto a question all about political leaders and he answers with........

It's all going great guns, as loads of the competition get red lights and one falls by the wayside, as Robert goes on a rampage. Then we see a lot of battling while Buttonman seems to be being ignored, this is great for our hero but then he gets nominated by Santa, with a question about painters and his face drops. Then he gets nominated with a question about actors and he answers well. Sandi's face lights up as she tells him that it's now his turn to nominate.

He dishes out multiple kills, as contestant after contestant falls by the wayside and you can see how he relishes this, with that constant smile lighting up his face. His first kill is his nemesis, number nine. Did you see the look of disdain he gave, as he couldn't answer the question, I'm sure I saw hate in his eyes, as he took a sideways glance at Buttonman. Then our hero sends a gift of a question to Santa, did you see what he did there!

Before you know it, it's now down to the last six, only three more to be destroyed and Buttonman is in the final battle...............................But that's for you to find out, when you watch the episode!

Not only is this comic day but that will be right in the middle of podcast recording time as well now, due to me messing up yesterday! Looks like I'll force the family to watch it later, after tea :)

The trailer for Season 2 of Daredevil is online and it's a visual re-cap for most of it but they do show new stuff at the end, including a certain vigilante who doesn't mind killing people!

Season 5 started on Sunday and it's bang up to date with the political situation with Isis and refugees. Can't really tell where it will head with the season opener but the poo is just about to hit the fan, due to those naughty hackers!
