I don't mind the break, at all- we've had a few good stories- we may get some more. Hopefully, when it get's back, everything will kick off big time, with the huge slaughterfest between the Dredd kids and all those soldiers! If it turns out for the worse we can alway gurn later. I voted that Tharg made the right decision, because I don't want Origins spoiled by multiple artists, shit- split it into a trilogy if you want. I can see why some folks are getting fed up talking about it, but I just flick through most of it or look for another thread. If people want to talk about it, fine- I can also see that there's not been that much else to post about. it'll all be forgotten soon anyway.

Funnily enough, that hits the nail on the head. It's not that it was 'too well drawn' as I rather clumsily put it- it was just too tidy. I know exactly what you mean.

Mind you- the most recent B&W Strontium Dog story Roadhouse, was too well drawn for me. Part of the appeal was his ability to depict figure in perspective allowing for tremendous depth within small panels. For me, part of this was due to his ability to reduce a figure to a few feathery, but incredibly accurate scuffs of ink. Apocalypse War, Portrait of a Mutant, Outlaw and the story arcs around Max Bubba and Wulfs death are fantastic. For me, no-one comes within touching distance of Carlos' work. If/ when he retires it will be a sad loss. Quick- clone him, we have the technology!

The scratchiness of Ezquerra's B&W was something that pretty much what I loved about his earlier work. Strontium Dog 'The Killing' always sticks in my mind as iconic.

There have been more sexually explicit pictures directly posted on the message board, not to mention explicit content/ language in posts. If there are to be rules they must be there for everyone, instead of selective admonishing.

The thread title does say 'England', but Monty then referred to 'great' (cough choke splutter) Britain. I wasn't referring to your post Floyd, I was just too lazy to reply directly to Monty! Mind you- rural as I am, the place still has plenty of Neds (roughly equivalent to English Chavs). Having hardly anyone here means people are too afraid to stand out too much and anyone who does is mercilessly beaten.

Are we talking about Britain, or England here- the two terms are not really interchangeable. As I look out my back room window at the endless arable boredom and complete lack of buildings more than two storey's high I would have to disagree here. If we're talking about England, then i'll get me coat- coz I haven't been there in about 20 years so I can't comment.

With great power comes great abuse. Mind you, 'cuddles Xoid' actually voted very emphatically for us. I was half expecting (read in nasally voice) "Thought you weren't participating in this community, Dog Deever" from a few directions. I was drawing up a list of potty-mouthed abuse for just such an event. Lets face it- what're they going to do- perma ban me? Hur hur! I thought one or two of the mods were ok, then was forced to change my opinion as they fired off some parting shots at me! Looking at their user pages, I think they want total uniformity- all those templates and cookies and gold in the basket. It's a load of pish. They place such importance on that wiki- it's just a fucking game!

A big thanks to them then. What strikes me is that Max Grivas and Gage are both (I think) mods, and should've known that if we were listed on the stats page, we must still be active in numbers- yet they still tried to delete our page, knowing that most of us don't do anything on the wiki. I wonder what their beef is? They really are wankers there- their life seems to depend on that wiki. No wonder there are so many vandals there.

A note to remaining Necs- the group page has been nominated for deletion, as it hasn't been edited in a while, although we have support from people who have seen us about. As we are still listed on the UD stats page it is unlikely that we will get deleted. I also broke my self-imposed exile to vote against, so i would imagine that would swing things our way. I've linked the deletion page here if anyone wants to add weight, but be mindful of protocol- remember they are, in the main, a shower of self-agrandising cockpouches on the wiki...

I cant take the sun at all- my palid celtic skin was not built for it. But still, just a few degrees would be nice. We truly are fucked! I'll have to dump all those fridges, now....

(I can't remember any hot summers- sure there was a big yellow circle in the sky, but I couldn't fathom what it was for!)
