CF, don't suppose you have a Superman T-shirt and could replicate that image with your Judge Burdis outfit?

Maybe even record a quick videoclip message for vzzbux's grandson?

:D

Help! / Search feature?
10 March, 2014, 08:14:32 AM
Am I being incredibly stupid, or is there no search feature on these boards?

I thought I'd try searching for an old topic, but for the life of me I can't work out how to do this...there's a "search members" section, but I can't see a way to search for a keyword or topic.

The "help" page here for doing a search says:
QuoteSearch - Searching is an extremely helpful tool for finding information in posts and topics.
and very helpfully links to the blank page http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Search.

Are you trying to drag and drop the staff from your inventory onto the altar?

This way of dropping items doesn't often work (leftovers from Morrowind) - instead, hold shift and left-click an item in your inventory to drop it.

QuoteCould probably pick all 3 up cheap on Steam as a bundle now.
No sales on right at the moment, but you can download free playable demos so you can decide whether or not they're your cup of tea.

http://store.steampowered.com/search/?snr=1_4_4__12&term=alien+bredd#term=alien%20breed&sort_order=ASC&page=1

I played the demo for Impact myself, and didn't find it as fun as the 1990s original, and the metascore is only average - so if interested try the demo first.

By the way, the original 1990s version is available to download from GOG -
http://www.gog.com/game/alien_breed_tower_assault.

All Alien Breed games are shooters rather than suspense/horror, but with elements of that.  From memory (I haven't played the originals since the original release) they work better as co-op multiplayer - get a mate around, turn the lights down and scream as you bump into each other while missing the Alien creeping up on you both...

Huh, I never found money a problem in Oblivion.

But then I did do a lot of alchemy, made a lot of potions and sold them for profit, as well as picking up useless iron weapons and such and selling them on - not a load of money at once, but it all added up.  I also played a much slower game than you - I don't think I even made my way to Kvatch until level 15 or so.

QuoteI could sure use a levitation spell!
You're out of luck on that one!
NPCs can be heard commenting on the passing of the "levitation act".
Bethesda got rid of levitation because unlike in Morrowind the Oblivion cities are in their own wordspace - so even if you were to be able to levitate above a city you'd see an empty void... :o

Remember Sinderion and his Nirnroot once you've finished his quest - no spoilers, but you'll be seeing him again in Skyrim...

QuoteI hope he has the opportunity to move those blades a little, so that the title doesn't read FIEEDOM...!
I read it as "FLEEDOM"  :-\

Do we get Frobisher the penguin back?

I've missed that guy.

QuoteI recently purchased Hellblazer - Original Sins and started reading it - taking a break from my big re-read of my 2000AD collection.  So far I am enjoying it.
Which version of Original Sins do you have?
The original release only collected #1-9, which ends on a cliffhanger (resolved in Swamp Thing) - whereas the more recent edition collects Hellblazer #1-9, Swamp Thing #76 and #77, and finishes with Hellblazer #10 - a much more satisfying conclusion!

Quote£10 notes?
I know that editors don't make a huge amount of money, but are they really that badly paid that they can be bribed by a couple of tenners? :P

So, now you've had a chance to get settled into the game - what are your first impressions compared with Morrowind?

QuoteThe place is so green, I keep expecting to be attacked by an irate golfer.

Someone needs to port the golf club from Fallout New Vegas to Oblivion.

That Postman Pat movie looks a bit crap, doesn't it.   Looks worse than the recent reboot - I really liked the 2008 Postman Pat Special Delivery Service series.

Jury's still out on Paddington.  Just hope it doesn't go the way of the Magic Roundabout movie.

QuoteI daresay if I played Skyrim I'd suffer a full blown relapse.
Skyrim is far, far better than Oblivion.  It takes the best bits of Morrowind (such as politics, lore, quirky locations) and the best bits of Oblivion (such as immediate combat) and combines them to make an astounding game.

QuoteI had to re load the game cause I couldn't afford to lose that amount of money for no return....
So did you manage to do it in the end, or did you just move on to a different quest?
