It really is stunning. I've completed the story and done a couple of side missions but I'm still only 33% through the content.

I had a go at the challenge mode yesterday too. Brilliant for a quick pick up and play 5 minutes of excitement.

What's wrong with Danny Dyer? I think he's quite funny - and he doesn't take himself too seriously.

What's wrong with Danny Dyer?

Jesus Christ.

Everything?

Nah, he's alright, I like him.
If you ever see him interviewed he sems like a genuinely nice guy.

I thought he was really good in 'The Business'.An underated film in my opinion.

His 'documentary' about UFOs was hilarious. He seemed to have genuine affection for a lot of the nutters he met despite being pretty bemused by most of them. it had a really cool ending too.

I'd definitely recommend Jeff Hawke if you haven't read it.

Very Alan Moore-esque British sci fi with lots of creepiness and humour:

I think one of the most charming comics aimed at that age group was 'Playhour'. I grew up with it and absolutely loved it. It's quite old fashioned I suppose but it has such lovely characters and some great artwork that I can't imagine any kids of around 4 not liking it. The nice thing is that it's not all about the free gift.

You can get old annuals on ebay pretty cheap: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/rare-playhour-annual-/180739004292?pt=UK_Annuals_Books_EH&hash=item2a14e25784

And it's better than at least three of the Pirates of the Carribean movies.

Have to disagree with that.

I really did think that this was probably the worst film I've seen in a very long time.

To answer some of your points - yes I've seen Transformers 3 and agree thta the girl in that can't act either. She at least had a sort of 'rabbit in the headlights' likeability though - and she definitely had sex appeal. This girl in musketeers really was just like a mannequin.

Two other points you make pretty much nail why i hated the film so much. ie - it's called the Three Musketeers (who were actually all pretty good) but these characters are reduced to supporting roles.
The film is all about D'Artagnan but the actor playing him is absolutely bloody shite and looks about 10! He was in way out of his depth. The script was rubbish anyway - even the foreshadowing where his dad (an inexplicably American accented Dexter Fletcher) shows him that sneeky combat move didn't ever come to anything.

As for the airship battle - rubbish.

Ogling Mila Jovovich was the only thing that kept me in the cinema.

Just watched 3 Musketeers.
Utter shite from beginning to end and there's a blond girl in it who is literally the worst actress I have ever seen.

The unexpected appearance of James fucking Corden didn't help matters.

I've heard that Paul Dini has said he would be interested in scripting a Superman game.
Could be interesting if they can get the feel of the character as spot-on as they have with Batman.

One of the main problems in Super Hero games is getting the power level of the main protagonist balanced correctly - there's nothing more frustrating than taking on the guise of Spidey or Hulk only to get killed by a couple of street punks. I hate those Spidey games where you deck a thug about 4 times before he stops getting up again!

I'd definitely be interested in a Superman game with a nice bit of cosmic/spacey stuff or even some against the clock challenges - racing around the world stopping disasters.

Played a few hours of this yesterday and I have to say it's absolutely fantastic. The voice acting and story are superb.
Also, you start off with most of your gadgets right from the beginning and you feel like Batman straight away.

A Smiths reunion would effectively mean a break-up of the band Morrissey's been playing with for about the last 20 years.

I love Rogue but, to be honest, I think he's a great kids character.
When I was about 10 I loved Rogue, for the most part, because he had a talking gun which I thought was just the coolest thing ever.
The trouble with War Machine IMO is that it takes all the corny stuff away from Rogue and so is effectively a different character altogether.
I think modern 2000ad is too adult orientated to produce good cheesy Rogue Trooper stories, and in which case I think it would be best to introduce a totally new future war story (I agree it's a genre that should come back to the prog).

If they ever made a new 2000ad for kids, as has been suggested in the past, I'd go with a Rogue re-boot as the main strip.

I really, really hate the visual style of this series - one of the main reasons I haven't picked up either game yet.

Even the DKR and 90s animated style Batmans look a bit silly when put through that weird, Unreal/steroidal filter.

I know what you mean, I'm not a big fan of the character models (I quite like the Blue/Grey one above though - looks a bit like Bisley's Batman from Judgement on Gotham).
The ugly models are more than made up for in the animations and voice acting though - they really bring the characters to life.

Deathproof is ace! I don't know why, it just is!

I like the sound of The Ward - I read about it ages ago but was expecting a cinema release. I'll definitely be renting it out to see if it's as good as I'm hoping.

I went to school in an old priory (St Nicholas Priory Middle School, Great Yarmouth) that was supposed to have a couple of ghosts. One was a one legged Egyptian princess who hopped about looking for her other leg!

In the main church yard there was a grave with a big old manacle on a chain coming out of it (I think it was where a convict had been buried - although they normally went to a different grave yard nearby).
The legend was that if you pulled the manacle hard enough the devil would come out on the other end and get you!

Heh - I quite like Cool as Ice! Especially when he says 'Let's Gee Oh' instead of 'Let's Go'.

I watched 'Stake Land' and 'Attack the Block' last night. Both were ok but nothing special.

The former had little character development and no real plot. I think it was supposed to be more about the mood and the bleak apocalyptic desperateness of the situation. It pissed me off right at the start though and didn't win me back over again - suffice to say I don't really want to see infant death or rape in my escapist genre fiction thanks.
They weren't even proper vampires anyway, just rubbish zombie type things, and the main baddie was fucking shite.

Attack the Block was better but it wasn't really very funny and wasn't scary. The best thing about it was the monster design which I thought was great. The young actors weren't up to much but the main lady was very good - I though it was Sarah Smart but it was someone who looks very similar.
The story was very formulaic but it entertained well enough. It felt a bit like a kids horror film in parts.
I'd definitely watch it again if it came on telly.
