I really hope people give Kirby's Dream Course a go and don't just see it as filler.
It's a really fun, inventive game that's great with 2 players and really rewards experimentation and practice.
I bought it really cheap in a Woolworths sale and it turned out to be one of my most loved games on the system. I'm very pleasantly surprised to see it included.

F Zero was always cack though. They should've swapped it out for Pilot Wings.

My favourite retro machines are my Megadrive and my Speccy. Both of which are great for firing up for quick blasts of arcadey fun.
While Super Mario World and Secret of Mana are great games, I just don't have the time or inclination to play through them.
If I get one of these Snes minis my most played games will be Kirby's Dream Course, Mario Kart and Super Punch Out.
(Having said that, I also have all of those games on original cart. maybe I won't bother with one of these new ones after all.)

Are you sure Amazon are out of stock? I can't even find the product page so am dubious as to whether they've accepted orders yet.
I've registered interest on the Nintendo store so hopefully they'll email me when they're taking orders.

I'm not going to lose sleep if I can't get hold of one though. I find all this forced rarity and hype management a bit off-putting.

I assume IP added that afterwards to save others from the spoiler. It didn't occur to me to add them.

Really enjoyable episode but the
rubbish modern cybermen
in the trailer for next week don't bode too well.
Although I had no idea about that, having not watched the trailer. Hrng.

Oh shit - sorry!

Apologies to anyone I spoiled it for.

Maximillian is still genuinely scary.

The less said about the 'Robomen' or whatever they call the cyborg lackeys the better.

Has anyone watched The Ice Pirates lately? That's one I loved as a kid but haven't seen it since sometime in the 80s.

To be honest I was just relieved that there wasn't a giant doomsday device shooting a beam of light into the sky.

So are the vambraces/bracelets themselves special? I may have missed that bit early on, my daughter lost her Pringles during the growing-up montage...

I think the bracelets are magical - a gift from the gods similar to the golden lasso. They didn't really go into that but they showed how they have special defective power - particularly when held up together - which caused the concussive blast which injured her aunt and made all the Amazons stand in awe.

I really enjoyed the film, as did my girlfriend. Great casting, with Gal Gadot really standing out as a charismatic, sympathetic hero. Chris Pine was also really good.

I didn't find the fight at the end confusing. When Ares fires the lighting bolts (or evil energy or whatever it is) Diana's bracelets hold the energy until she re-directs it back at Ares.
I'm not sure about the flying - I thought she just did one of her big leaps and then the film went to slow motion when she was at the crest of her leap, shooting out the energy?

I'm seriously starting to think that Theresa May could be losing grip of reality. Not a joke. I think the pressure is making her lose it.

Whenever there's a plot revolving around a planet wide invasion it always turns out to be a rubbish story.
Dr Who is much better when he's saving a small outpost or a space station or something.

The Worlds End

I'd seen this at the cinema where I considered it quite good but not quite what I was expecting.

I really enjoyed watching it on TV last night though. There are some really well written characters in the film - I think we all have a bit of Gary King in us and we all have friends that we do favours for knowing that they wouldn't do the same for us!

The final scene is really cool too and looks just like something from an early 90s low budget Sci-Fi - 'The King' could have come straight out of 'Hardware' or something.

I have the Fourth World books (1,3 and 4 in hardcover but 2 in softcover as it had a short print run for some reason) and think that the print order works really well.
It's horses for courses but it seems that this is how it was originally intended to be read on a monthly basis.

Still no word on a re-print of the 2001 stuff. A real shame as my treasury edition is getting quite yellow and brittle.
