There's a hell of a book in this somewhere.  "The Full Nephilim".  Heh.

What a strange thread...

Tut-tut, just  the kind of narrow-minded judgement I'd expect from a reader of an Establishment journal.

Still wondering what the hell Grebo might be.

He did two things wrong. One was try to write Dredd, the other was Mark Millar.

S'right.  Although inflicting Millar on us was quite the doozy.  Together with Milligan and J. Smith, Morrison represented 2000AD's second wind, carrying it right through to the horrors of the post 800 period.

Hang on now, lumberjack shirts were what now?  Photographic evidence suggests that I wore lumberjack shirts consistently from 1984 through to 1994, with a blip around 1991 when I foreswore collared shirts entirely in favour of a fetching t-shirt and wooly jumper ensemble, thus avoiding any hope I may ever have had of being 'en vogue'.  I was never a goth, 'grebo' (blimey), or grunge-affected (unless you equate the words 'unkempy' with 'grunge').

My main fashion memory of the early 1990's is a blissful few months when girls wore diversely coloured and patterned tights.

How this fits in with 2000AD's alleged fall from the diamond-hard spearhead of anarchy, I have no idea, but i did like those tights.

Honestly, what's the point of running a giant country if you can't grab yourself some of that.

Bat out of Hell 2 is supposed to be reasonable although i have never heard it.

Hey, you've heard Bat Out of Hell 1, so job jobbed.  Although I do have a soft spot for Objects in the Rear View Mirror (May Appear Closer Than They Are).

i know no one who doesnt like it!!!

Agreed.  Whatever you might think about Meatloaf's endless recycling of the material, or even the man-mountain himself, the original Bat Out of Hell is one of the greatest albums of all time - classic tracks back to back!  And that cover!

That's the thing about Buttonman, no matter how crazy the idea, you know he's put the work in...

Valkyries.  I thought it was good different.

Tanya Byron.  Her advice got my son to sleep through the night straight out of the gate, and she's lovely to boot.

Belgians.  Never met one I didn't like.

Beanfeast (Mexican chili [sic] flavour [sic]).

The Phantom Menace.  It's the best of a bad bunch.

Hair down there. It comes with the territory.

Film & TV / Re: Extras spin-off?

Shaun Williamson is quoted as saying: "I thought for about 10 minutes about not taking [the Extras role] and then I realised I might never get the chance to work with Ricky and Stephen again."

Chop the last five words off, and replace them with "...outside of Panto".

I think the crimefighting gig is a bit of wishful thinking.

what was Kate's funny response?

"You taste like fish biscuits".  Shoe's on the other foot now, eh love?

By the way, Willow in Buffy also apparently tastes of strawberries. There's a lot of it about.

In fact, most have tatsed something similar to Kate's funny response.

So true.  But man, those are some yummy biscuits.
