thinking about it, when Robocop came out I was 13 or so, how the hell did I see it? must have been of VHS or something.  I think it was aimed at adults but also seemed to be one of those must see super violent flicks kids really wanted to see too (same as Evil Dead and its ilk).
I dont think I'm crazy but i also seem to remember a Robocop cartoon that came out after the movie? anyone else have this memory?

Someone on the net with too much time on their hands (really) figured out the Kill ratio and number of people Bauer killed in the first 5 seasons of 24, cant remember the exact number but the guy has the highest kill rate in history

I'll give the Event another episode before i write it off (the ends a doozy) but I'm getting an awfully similar feeling to Flashforward which kinda all went to pish.
I think the biggest problem with these eventy sci-fi shows is lack of finish dates, the Event seems to have a nice cool solid idea behind it thats gonna get all squewed and dragged out if its a success (to fill in extra season) or truncated and not get a proper finish if it flops and is cancelled.  Its the way stupid network TV works, plot arc shows(not serial type)shows should be commisioned for a set number of episodes (as many as required be it half a season or 4 seasons), that way no crappy filler.

yeah i can handle Robocop 2 (has an outstanding stopmotion showdown between the two Robocops at the end, possibly the last one ever done before the era of CGI), the kid villain of the piece is a wonderfully nasty piece of work.
Robocop 3 is a big pile of poop, perfect example of studio mandated rating ruining a movie.  Ninja cyborgs Vs Robocop should've been epic.

I was always hoping ED-209 would pop up. & I was wondering where all the (at the time) ULTRAVIOLENCE was gone?!

I think its like people getting blown backwards by Shotguns and rifles in movies, the physics dont work but damn it looks good (I cheer at a guy blown backwards totally against the laws of physics but feel decidedly subdued when someone in a movie is shot and just collapses realisticly like a rag doll, same with swords and knives slashing looks cool but stabbing just seems brutal and bussiness like).

gonna see this movie and after downloading the sampler think i might pony up the $ for the soundtrack, I love the way Trent Reznors doing this stuff.  He basically given away 2 1/2 albumns already.

its been taken but comic pages really dont come much better than "Heroes be damned" line.  The shadowing and look on Dante's face really show him to be Romanov born and the first time we really see the similarities between Dante and his Fathers looks (and possible temprament).  More recently the whole strip has been full of blow me away moments but the End of Dante's weapons crest really made my eye's mist up.

woohoo, half day at work today *(Race Round Hannans Handicap) so I'll bre home stomping itno this again in about 2 hours.

Favorite multip[layer trick so far, hiding near the skull container invisable during a skulls match and ambushing dudes as they run to put there skulls in, some of these multiplayer modes rock.

Well picked this up a couple of hours ago, started the campagne but not too far into it had to give the Multi Player a go.  Hav'nt played a Halo game since number 2 so quite a bit has changed for me.  Graphics are nice (not exceptional) and the music is typical Halo music.
I rally like the match making system but still haven't had a chance to check it all out or all the game modes yet, only multi player mode I haven't liked so far is the Race.  Its fun playing dress up with youir spartan too

Online tag is Radsock but in OZ so prbly cant play anyone here.

I've read the script for the Greengrass version and it was bad.  A modern update on the characters and world, thats all fine but the gubbinsthat drove the plot and the end was just absolute shit I'll put this in spoilers in case IIRC[spoiler]Veidt decided the the whole world started to really go off the rails when Dr Manhatan appeared causing global instability and all the current problems (in the movie US is under seige by Terrorists and gangs etc).  So his big plan is to open a portal into the past and stop Jon from becoming Dr Manhatan. This works and at the very end Veidt, Specter and Night Owl (cant remember Rorsarchs fate) end up in New York and some kind of robery or something is going down but it's not their New York its our New York a Kid see's them and points to them telling his mum everything will be ok as the Watchmen are here and you see he's holding a watchmen comic.  I shit you not thats what i remember, repeat it ends with the Watchmen in our world [/spoiler]  I think we got off lightly with Snyders slavish but souless adaptation.
