that looks pretty cool, if the visuals are mind shattering i dont mind a less than coherant story (see any mind-fuck asian movie like Vs, Tokyo Gore Police and the like).  This looks like a Holywood big budget version of that style of movie, I'm there.  And sweet sweet looking young lasses too.

taht looks alright, based on a manga from what they say.  The shot as he's riding out of the city looks just like a MC1 wall.
If friken 3D too, probably a shoddy conversion job rather than filmed in it.

QuoteThe collected Solomon Kane, by Robert E Howard. And it's brilliant.

SBT

Is the film worth picking up?

its not too bad, but couldn't coment on accuracy to the original stories.  It is very dour and dark. Looks good too.

fraken A thats awsome, this show is gonna kill.  Apparently they're going to release this with a B&W option when it hit DVD, at least for the pilot, good idea The Mist plays exeptionaly well in B&W.

Thats shite, proof the US just cant handle pure unadulterated Thrill Power.

I like the other article linked there about the Comic-coners protesting at the Westbro Baptist Church protest against worshipping false Idols (cause you know all Comic and Sci-fi fans worship the characters they read about, why I've got a shrine set up to Dredd and sacrifice my freedom to it everyday).
Took on the wrong crowd by the sounds of things, dont mess with the geek collective churchies. i so would've enjoyed being there I wouldn't have been able to help myself and probably got my self bashed by the Westbro heavies.

QuoteAnother mention here of the Death tattoo, which sticks out as a chronology buckler. How can a citizen sport a tattoo of Judge Death if Anderson hasn't faced him yet? It probably won't make it to the screen, but I hope there aren't other nods and winks to the fans which are going to end up as irritating.

Could be setting up the Death angle a bit different to the comic, remember in the Game there were Death Cultists who worshipped his boneyness so maybe its a similar set up except the cultists know Death already exists in another dimension and need to bring him across but no one else does.  The new Rookie with unkown abilities has horrible visions involving a bony death dealing super judge (and a way to beat it) and thats why they're determined to get Anderson through her training even though she doesn't have the aptitude.
Of course I'm guessing, geez this is fun, I haven't followed a movie this closely for a long time I just hope i dont ruin it for meself.

Karl Urban's a good choice, just known enough to get a few bums in the seats but not so well known it'd be odd for him to have a helmet on for the duration of the movie.  And of course if this is successful he'll be aother actor from across the pond we'll claim as our own (Like Russell Crowe, he's a friggen Kiwi not and Aussie but not according to our meadia).
