I've been really looking forward to this, but especially considering that it's about someone with a disability, it's really shitty that, according to the Radio Times, it's not going to have subtitles.  >:(

I find it funny that people have specifically signed up to the board just to defend slabbing.

Personally, and like most (if not all) people who post here regularly, I think comics should be *read*, nomatter what special or 'special' issue it is. If I had a copy of Detective Comics 27 in great condition, it'd be in the same box as all of my other comics and I'd have no qualms about dragging it out whenever I felt like it and reading the fucker.

I think my problem when I hear Hugh Laurie's American accent is not his previous roles but simply that it's the same nasal trans-Atlantic accent that a lot of British actors adopt by default when playing an American character.

To his credit, though, Hugh Laurie has actually said he thinks his American accent is shit.

Yet another really tough one to judge.

I''m not sure how true this is, but I remember reading that they stopped being shown in school because people had complained that they were "scaring the kiddies". Surely that's the whole point, though?

What's the betting that the driver wasn't offended at all, but took the opportunity for a day off without it affecting the holiday he had left? ;)

Cramps Singer Lux Interior Dead At 62

Bloody hell. That's a real shame. Because he looked like he'd died about 30 years ago, there was always that feeling that he'd go on forever. I'll sadly have to remove The Cramps from my list of bands to see if I ever get the chance. :(

Has the deadline for this been extended or have I missed it? I'm running fantastically late with my idea. :s

The nostalgia vote goes to KP Griddles (advertised by a cartoon highwayman, IIRC), which along with 2000, the Eagle and a quarter of Midget Gems reminds me of Saturday mornings. 1982 I miss thee.

As well as snow all day, we had a snow thunderstorm this morning, which was a bit bizarre.
