Not true- I once made it as far as the garden. And that was all the way from the sofa.

I once managed a little further than that...

...from a pub in Rugby to a ditch on the A5 near Hinckley, with no recollection at all of how the fuck I'd got there (and I still don't know 16 years later).

From what I gather, the sendmail through the site is still fucked, so try emailing Denise directly using Spock(at)fpinternational.co.uk

Hope that helps.

Prepare to be very disappointed, David. Actually in its favour, the pacing of it is about spot on for a Modesty tale and the actress playing her is right *facially*, although she's skinny to the point of scariness and totally unbelievable in the fight scenes. Her accent yo-yos more than Ulrika Jonsson's knickers, only once or twice sounding how O'Donnell describes in the books (the rest of the time veering wildly from plummy English to something from Mind Your Language). The best parts are the flashback bits, but the rest of it is pretty fucking awful; bad acting, dialogue and direction all round.

As well as Willie Garvin being conspicuous by his absence, so is the congo, which I expected to appear at least once.

The Cliff Robinson Fire and Fear look a bit out of place with the Bian Bolland[sic] ones, I think.

I really do like the backgrounds, though.

A great EE with the exception of the abysmal Hershey story. A waste of nearly 30 pages, with shockingly sub-par art and script that made it look and read like a very poor fan strip.

Well it's got to be a massive improvement on the last one (although that may not exactly be difficult).

Thinking about Ashes to Ashes; I don't really see the need to have any more time travelling, tbh. Having Gene Hunt transferred to the Met and coping with the changes in attitude and policing methods that were already starting in the early 80s, coupled with having a woman as a DCI would be strong enough for a series. Having Gene as the fish out of water in his own time instead of anyone going back from now would put a nice twist on things.
