DROKK IT! Gettin' my vintage JD all mixed up!
Dredd shot out the controls of John Nobody's hoverwagon using just his trusty old Lawgiver in Prog 26's Dream Palace story - D'OH!

In the absence of any reprint material in front o' me at the mo, I'm fucked if I can remember what he was shootin' at in that piccy above from Prog 7, then - it, along with the Lawrod triv, came as a standalone piece outta The A-Z OF JUDGE DREDD!

Hey, what more d'ya want, huh? I got hold of a picture of the bastard gun, didn't I?
An' you gotta admit, Rod, Pain and Dreddy was pretty funny too, eh?

Et voila.

Courtesy of the ink of Mighty Mike McM, the 'Rod's first appearance in Prog 7, The Statue Of Judgement story where JD blows psycho killer John Nobody's hovercar-thingummybob outta the sky - NOW! Unless anyone knows diff'rent, and can provide scanned evidence to (judge) boot, I think this is about as good a shot (pun fully intended!) as we ever get of it in action.
For all you tedious trivia fans out there, this addition to the MC1 Justice Dept.'s armoury wasn't actually referred to as a Lawrod 'til Prog 21's Solar Sniper ep., when it would have been rendered by Ron Turner - dunno how big a part it got in that story, don't have a copy to hand. Anyone?http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c377/CB15/JD.jpg">

I've been and checked out that link on icon manufacture, honestly I have, and BOY! Whatta lotta hoops to hafta jump through for the sake of 1024 iddy biddy lil' pixels at the end of it!

My usual AV of choice unfortunately wouldn't work at the size on offer here, so for this reason I shall remain enigmatically anonymous for now, but promise to give it some thought.

In the meantime...

SING IF YOU'RE GLAD TO BE GREY
SING IF YOU'RE HAPPY THAT WAY, HEY!

Mmmm...know tha' feelin'.
I thought my even more piss poor efforts were pretty obviously intended to be humourous in tone, too (certainly no malice was intended) - this was only picked up on by a couple prepared to play along, though. Oh well... (NOTE TO SELF: DISENGAGE SUBTLE MODE)

Wul (can I call you Wul?) - ain't I a stinker?

As we're now newly acquainted cyber-amigos, I consider it incumbent upon me in the spirit of friendship to advise you against the evils of illicit mind altering narcotic substances, and moreover to remind you that, for a man holding your badge of office, even simple possession is gonna buy ya a one way ticket to a mandatory twenty stretch on Titan, buddy.

The SJS have eyes and ears everywhere, man. Remember:
It's not paranoia if They really are after you!

Peace.

Hmmm.

I thought the BOLLOCKS! FLAME THE NOOBS! post a mere three replies in pretty much set the tone myself, but if I have somehow "scared the shit" out of anyone with my posts (I'm begging you, just DON'T recite them out loud five times in front of a mirror, for pity's sake!), then I apologise.

Particularly to Judge Woofter, who seems to have taken all this very personally, poor little lamb. Be sure an' let me know when you intend starting gettin' those insults in, huh? Think I'll stick around...

Least you've got an icon.

Where does the 'Artificial' part come into it, I wonder...

Oooo, and in red as well. What penmanship.

An effect somewhat spoiled, however, by the intrusion of an unfeasibly large rendition of the word ICON plastered across half of it!

On the subject of which - did you draw yours yourself? It's very good.

C*nt?

I was thinkin' more along the lines of JamesC...oncerned about the merits of adapting WATCHMEN for the big screen and somewhat dubious as to the relative entertainment value of the resultant film if they indeed decide to do so.

Oh dear.

Well, that's the "What does the C in JamesC stand for?" question answered, then...

Screw all that, I just came for the cookies an' porn!

Oh, that... and to get people to admit that DOUG HUTCHISON WOULD MAKE FOR A BLOODY GOOD RORSCHACH IN THE WATCHMEN MOVIE!

Oh dear, was I raving again...?
