Hoping for some 2000ad GN's, a few dvd's definately as well.
Did ask for a couple of pieces of artwork but I don't think they'll be coming.

So after Christmas I'm going to be going on a buying spree to catch up with everything ;)

Already got my Christmas Present to myself from Rufus. The original art page from Total War where the Judges resign :) Very nice.

I agree with you Dirty Frank, that would have been better.
A follow up to Total War, even something like looking at Ground Zero(s) a month later or something would have been nice. And after all the Dem movement and Total War haven't just whithered away and died.

I liked it generally, it's just when you actually look at the stories more closely I noticed a few things.

I'm sorry but I don't like the cover.
Like his normal work but watercolours don't work for a  Christmas cover and the art is just too clutered for me.

Droid Life - very good, Cat Sullivan always make me laugh.

Dredd is a good story but it seems to be an excuse for Andrew Currie to draw lots of big breasts. Pity to bring the Blints to an end really. Certainly wouldn't mind seeing his artwork again.

Cabailistics - Not normally a fan but this was good.

Alien invasions - Much more the old style quality I want.

Sinister/Dexter - Seen it all before, give us something new to do or don't bother really. They need to be rested. And sorry but I hate that kid thats in it now as well.

Slaine  - Ok but yes it might as well now be a set of posters. The stories are just things we've seen before, theres nothing really left anymore. Maybe old stories redrawn by this artist would be more interesting instead? And in places they certainly look like photos that haven't even been touched up. Look great but why?

RoboHunter - Why?

Leviathan - V good.

Second City Blues - Why?

Nikoli - Story isn't bad but I'd much rather it get back to something meaty. And however stylish and classic  John Burns artwork is I'm getting blinded by it. In that it's all blurring together, must be from looking at the older and clearer Simon Fraser artwork even though it was B/W.

Like the look of The Ten-Seconders and Leatherjack.

I think the fact it's Colin Macneil that makes it more grpahic. His paintings are so good that it probably shows off much more than many other artists would have done in the same circumstances.
Personally I was 'shocked'as it were by the judges going at each other but not the alien gangbang. Actually those judges looked rather like Raven soldiers from Nikoli Dante come to think of it.  Just seemed a little over the top. Totally within the storyline though, you couldn't be more accurate to what I'd expect from Devlin. Just up against say the John Higgins Dredd it's a lot 'harder'.

Looks interesting but just from the trailer it looks like its a direct copy in many parts so of course people are going to slag it off.
His skin looks odd, my first thought was that at the end he pulls off his face to show he's an android and has been waiting for Charley all his life ever since his father (who was a time traveller) created him 80 years ago.

I'll go and watch it though.
