Independant of the Labour Party?

You mean apart from all money donated to him going directly to the Labour Party and having the Labour Party helping him out the last year or so? He was independant, but he made up with them eventually.

I thin kthe problem is going to be the same as any city. You have control over one thing as the City council but then, (in the case of Cambridge) you have the County council controlled by a different party wanting to bring in things like Guided Bus systems and congestion charges that the City council and residents don't want, and then you also have the Central Government dictating on things like new town developments and overriding planning permissions on graded buildings ignoring local knowledge and opinion.
The only way to have no problems is to have the same policies as those other bodies. If you don't you will never get everything you want done, done.

I think that was one of the perceived problems with Ken, that the London people visit as tourists and business people, ie the centre of London isn't the whole of London and some people were feeling under represented.

I would agree though that it has got better in the middle from say 10 years ago.

If the nukes had been launched yes they would have apparently ignited the gas cloud.

g_leahy is right, a 2nd part that is a proper episode in itself.

I liked the selfless act of Rattigan, goes with UNIT not giving up to show that the human race doesn't stop even when the end is near and it looks helpless.

I missed Billie, when was that bit?

The Valient is a UNIT ship, hence why it was used for the first contact with the 'Toclafane'.

I would have assumed that the Sontarans could have converted our oceans into massive nurseries, after all our planet is mostly water, add some chemicals and there you have an endless supply of green sludge.

What I was wondering is what effect the torching of gas all over the world had on the ozone layer? ;) Either the Doctor has destroyed it or recreated it!

It wasn't bad atall.
Made a lot better by not demonising the cute little creatures. How easy would it have been for them to have suddenly had sharp fangs and attack people. No. Cute stays cute :)
And aliens spaceships didn't have to be destroyed either maing the idea of a wider universe and the humans living within it in the future more likely. After all by this point how many alien civilisations have the human race (on a large scale, not a few people in a distant scottish village etc) encountered? It's not something that can be hidden anymore, giant ships over London, worldwide invasion by cybermen. Maybe the 21st Century is where it really does all begin ;)

Good light start and a way of linking the series to get Donna back in but I do wonder how she is going to be in the future. She's behaving how all of us would given the opportunity and shes not going to fall in love with the Doctor but there needs to be some decent bond to make it beleivable.

And the Capitol Building.

I wore this t-shirt all day and was certainly getting a few looks. But only one double take from a  security guard at the National Gallery.

Noone seemed to mind my Death to Deviants t-shirt on the way back from San Francisco though.http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c234/opaqueentity/Capitol.jpg">

Yay :)
Only thing missing from that release is the cost of subscribing online.

I'll have to see how being out of the UK makes me hunger for 2000ad to see if I'll buy any more online. Great to have it as a choice though.

I think if theres any particular artwork that jumps out at me I'll buy the digital version. Especially if I can then get it printed out as a poster!

They always seem to end up with just one size in each and it's small!
I did manage to get in early the other day though, bought 10!
That'll be what I'm wearing on my US holiday in April :)

It's a nice idea but really once you've looked at it a couple of times it then just goes into the box/shelf/pile you store them on. Now getting covers available as a4 or bigger posters/prints would be a better answer.
