Brilliant! Thanks for putting that up.

Brings back lots of memories.

12 weeks of Slimming World, plus four early-morning trips to the gym per week and I should pass the two stone lost mark at this weekend's weigh-in. Still at least a stone to lose, but the man-boobs have turned into pecs, I have identifiable muscle groups in my shoulders and, in a good light from the right angle, I could almost convince myself I have an ab. :-)

Cheers

Jim

Well done Jim! My missus started Slimming World just over a year ago and has lost 4 stone. Has been named slimmer of the year twice.
I have lost about 1 1/2 stone as a consequence. All based on the basics of it's not what you eat (within reason) but how it's prepared. We get through a can of Fry Lite about once a week.

Well done, keep it up. I know my Wife feels so much better for it.  :D

the difference between getting them bound and the binders is you don't destroy the comic with the binders. At £5-6 a throw that makes me very interested.

Personally I think binding comics is not destroying them. Many of the comic auctions have bound volumes go for more than their unbound counterpart.

Obviously binding something like Detective Comics #27 would be silly and would reduce the value. I imagine the first 3 issues of Twooth would be devalued (and the banned Curse Earth issues) but other than that most Twooth issues are not expensive.

Personally I prefer a bespoke, solid volume but at the price of £5-£6 the binders are a cracking alternative.

At just over £20 it's comparable with actually binding the issues.
Hollingworth and Moss will professionally bind them in buckram for about the same price.
I was looking into getting mine bound in leather but that works out at a pricey £75 a bind (maximum width 2.5 inches).

Even if Spurs were firing the ball through a high velocity gun, they still wouldn't win. Z

Right! That's another one for my list!  >:(  ;)

Over in the UK the books were quickly replaced no questions asked. Sorry for all the nonsense but the collection really has been worth sticking with!

As were the gifts. My badge was damaged (the pin bent to buggery) and they replaced that within a week and sent me another much to boot (although I think they did that just so they could send the badge in the same box as the mug).

Anyone who buys part 1, it comes with a promotional blurb as usual, but they do have a picture with a list of all of the titles in the run.

Got my Oz and Doomsday today as well  :D

As for Ed Harris you must have good eyes since I didn't see him once!

But can you hear him?

Looking forward to this. Just bought Westworld and Futureworld on blu ray as it's been awhile since I've watched them and then they announce this!

If somebody doesn't snatch those Star Wars: A long time ago collections then there is something very wrong with the world (I have them all before you wonder). Yeah those old Star Wars comics are very much of their time but by heck comics don't get much more fun. Okay so there are a few duff stories on there but most are rollocking fun. At that price you are getting a right good deal too.

I remember getting the British Return of the Jedi comic (which featured reprints of earlier Marvel Star Wars strips) from the same newsagent I bought the Bolland-covered Eagle Dredd reprints.  Jumpers for goalposts, etc...
I remember buying the original Star Wars weekly with it's cardboard x-wing and TIE fighters. Obviously a bit older than you  :(
I love this period of comics and have the complete run of Dracula Lives, Star Wars Weekly/Monthly and Planet of the Apes.
Would not part with them ever. Part of my history.

No. It's good, really good, but not a golden age.
In my opinion.

Football is nearly back  :D

Went to my first pre season friendly today to watch Peterborough v Spurs Under 21's.
Good game. 3-2 to Peterborough although they barely deserved it.
