On a more positive note, the Heavy Mob is probably my favourite of the releases so far! Nice to see some of these lesser strips in print again.

I really enjoyed it too.

Pah! On these naysayers.

Erm .. usually someone's posted this week's prog by now.  So I guess it's up to me, then.

Far too lazy I'm afraid. Got it at 7.30 am but was 'busy' in the garden most of the day.

Issues 6 & 7 have just arrived from Hachette, 8 days after they first appeared as posted on my subs page.

Both in perfect condition.

I always kept my 2000 AD's and Dracula Lives from childhood although many times I had to rescue them from my Mother's cleaning purges.

My collection of 2000 AD's went to a friend when I moved out of my parent's home on the understanding that I would get them back when I wanted them.

They stayed with him for about 5 years from 1989 until I started get the Prog again in 1994.

I still have tonnes of stuff from when I was a child.

Think I first went to FP Denmark St in '81 for the 2000AD 1982 Annual signing

I went to that signing too. Still got the signed annuals.

Wanting just a £1.85 packet of "Wheat Bisks", the queues at the mere two tills they had open in Aldi were far too long, and populated with folk who had trollies overspilling with their weekly shop. So, I plonked two pound coins on the till in front of the checkout lady and walked out. Will I get arrested?

For buying "Wheat Bisks"?

I bloody well hope so.

Prog / 1926 - Old Wounds

Only received the previous issue on Tuesday due to the Bank Holidays and what should pop through my door this morning but Prog 1926.

I won't divulge anything due to it being quite so early except it's a lovely cover by Henry Flint. After the recent discussions regarding 'head shot' covers I think this one should please most people.

Very eye catching. And green.

Definitely getting the bookends with 6 & 7?  I've been told they're going out with 8 & 9 and they don't show up on my account on hachette's site.

Just assumed.

I'm probably wrong.

I am most days.

Volumes 6 & 7 have now been sent to me today.
Hopefully I'll get them within the week and they should contain the bookends.

Hey Hawkmonger, reckon it was the International version of Profondo Rosso but can't be sure! It was an old print and there was an explanation beforehand that it was the cut released in the US (so had the title The Hatchet Murders or something like that!) and slightly shorter than the version most people will have seen. Will need to look out for the director's cut.

The Director's International cut, with some scenes only in Italian (and subbed) is superb. Adds a few romantic scenes which aren't necessary, but is my preferred version by far.
The Arrow Blu Ray is good but flawed (picture wise), so go with the Blue Underground (region free) for the best quality version of the film if you want to see it.
