Photo stories cost more to produce and were stopped for price reasons!

I loved the Dan Dare first year 'return of the mekon'. The funniest unintentional part was killing off Sugar Ray and then he appeared in an Annual story celebrating their escape!

tower king and house of daemon were equal to 2000 best strips to my mind

My brothers planning to scan & print the whole of Doomlord! (just for himself) he's done the entire 13th floor previously which made a lovely set.

We both love your Doomlord reprint book - the Deathlords. I don't think anything else in Doomlord matches it - and the fire lords actually seems to repeat. I've told him how poor/abrupt the strange 'vampire' end is. I think he's aiming for 3 volumes.

All the best Mat

Bought a big stack for my brother.

Some odditiies. Doomlord holds a show at the London Palladium coming onstage as a 'Bad' Michael Jackson.
He takes requests from the audience and turns into the Mekon for the next 3 issues getting a cover as him!

Simon Harrison, John Higgins and glen fabry all do a cover.

Most strange is Comrad Bronski strip by Carlos Esquerra. Was he really doing this rather than 2000 or is this an old reprint?

Prog / Re: Prog 1796: Normal to the Max

Lenny zero shows exactly how to do a story in Dredds world. Just enough context to make you feel it post DoC. I wish Anderson has the same continuity. Her stories just feel like random Annual tales.

Clint langleys abc work looks amazing here in the tease.

Take the credit. Loving the Dredd by the way. Just waiting for it to arrive.
Can't believe family are away and I still wake up at 6!

I object to you saying that the organisers of NICE are remorselessly cashing in on Alan Moore.
He's not charging extra for the 2 hour Alan Moore panel instead requesting a donation of a graphic novel to a Northampton library.
By all means have your opinion of his commercial rates for attending I have no idea or interest if that's the going rate or not but that remark by another individual is uncalled for and a cheap shot.

Hi. Look in the classified section here. Wake has written a fair guide to selling prices. Then you can decide if you want to sell them here or eBay. In all likelihood they will be worth less than you thought so prepare for some disappointment remember they were printed in huge numbers.

Prog / 1793 Out for blood

First time ever on a Friday!

Aquila cover really nicely coloured by Leigh Gallagher who has an amazing splash page inside featuring a hareem scene.

Dredd by PJ is strong with the Sarah Palin-esque defence continuing.

Red Seas looks like Steve had fun drawing the turtle transition page and ironically as a Zenith fan there's a good slap here that could (but isn't) be his version of the Zenith Annual story by Jim McCarthy. I digress.

Leigh Gallagher is now as good as Bryan Talbot when on form
And Lenny Zero's muted greys actually work well on Ben Wilshers pages.

Its a great package. No letter's pages. Anyone else get an early prog?
