I thought it was a fapping of wankers.

I fell asleep while reading this thread last
night and ended up having a dream about the
Shark and his date. I don't mean to rub it in,
but she was very nice and you were great together.

Wonderful. The only place I get to be happy is in somebody else's dream.

Well, the curse did need to be legendary.

I know. That padlock's pretty strong.

I'd set up a date - with a real human woman - my first date in years, about three days before the first lockdown.

Up to the fifth episode of the first series of Black Sails now and it's finally started pulling me in. Thanks, hivemind!

(I didn't know whether to chuckle or frown when I spotted in the credits, "MELISSA HAIDEN..........as Distressed Whore," so decided to frown on the outside and chuckle way down in the darkest recesses of my lizard brain while the rest of me tuts at it.)

Think I'll read the book after the series.

Just started Black Sails on the advice of this thread. I'm struggling to engage with it at the moment but I believe it improves so I'll stick with it.

It's a long time since I read Treasure Island so I might dig out a copy and re-read that before I crack on.

Midsommar. Shitesommar, more like. I really find this kind of thing so boring - naïve civilised people getting nailed to things, chopped up and/or set on fire by a commune of happy-clappy lunatics dressed in foliage. Some nice effects work, though.
