Ho! Oh you is good Raggedy Man, I like that. Can't see Ruffian's and this is my entry heavily inspired by entries so far.

Well onto Wilderlands now and its looking as strong as anything I would expect from Robert Kirkham's Walking Dead.

This is an open thankyou note to Tharg for his choice and gift.

Apparently edging back towards the light after a dark tunnel of Millar etc, of CaseFiles 20 and previous perhaps, according to board members.

Rad Blood, Conspiracy of Silence, and the Time Machine sure feel like a more classic Dredd universe adopting, adapting to a new comics environment. Shaking off it's more bolshi and stubborn armour that has got it thru careering the previous wave of comic activism of that time, I get the sense of shock tactics and extremes turning towards more fantastical sensationalism again.

NB: Who is Chris Standly and what happened to him?

Whether by coincidence or by design, the similarities to the stories in CaseFiles 21 reflect the ideology going on in my November art comp entry. Either I've imposed this idea or it is there. Notably, the Judge Death story. This is definitely the style I wanted to portray in Necromancer and Toad. Not only deeply satirical Dredd having a sideways tilted look at society as a whole but at it's own odd creations. Script is by one of the co-creators of Death, John Wagner.

This seems to be an era for embracing the satire and steering it in as many directions as it could go.

It arrived Saturday the 7th and I've only got to the outrageously adorable Wagner/Gibson/Frame Judge Death: The True Story. It's a two part-er. Heh.

And I must mention the Friday crossover finishing that week that was before above tale. Was there a particular reason for this story?

Anyway thanks 2000ad. Always wanted to post you a winner Tharg. Be it an LED, £5-£10, or just an appraisal, the joy is you are always changing.

I am blummin still marveling at my entry's outcome! There are so many other formidable entries that could be in it's place. The standard of ideas and executions this month have SET the standard.

Staggered and thanks. Thank you for those who voted for and mentioned me also. It does mean a great deal.

(Edited to add: It does feel very good to be up there among the top contenders. Archie = Brilliant. The Archie-Deviant! )

Phew, what it must be like to keep up with organising this comp each month? Good, O! Difficult enough to keep up with the voting! But what an intensely fun theme played out in excellent form by all contenders.

Thanks Hayzoos. Pop over to the Art Comp and grab an eyeful of the previous incarnation plus oodles of wonderful entries. All the entrants have really got stuck into this months theme.

Always forgetting or being too dismissive about finishes... This is the levelled up version. Much better in my opinion but alas I've already entered the unfinished piece into the art comp. FFS.

I reckon 'Israeli is going to go down in history as one of the most amazing 21st century comic book artists. Especially based on his black and white works. Revolutionary is a hard term to place over any modern comic book artist in historical terms, but 'Israeli should become known for just that.
