The story for the Curded Earth goes well beyond any typical superhero format. It's starts as a western with the rider with no name coming in. Who is eventually revealed to be Judge Dredd. Who is to end up facing Death in the Cursed Earth with the final act opening in the Mega City..

As he finally dresses in a uniform and his eyes  replaced, the "dead man" reveals his identity.  Death, who is at first the hunter of Dredd, flees back to the safety of MC 1, hunted by Dredd on a lawmaster Mark 1.

Awwoh, that's it. I have to go on a mission to track down and and bag all of the thriezology. Then reset a campaign for the reprint of the 2000ad adaptations.

Seeing the picture in the "earlier thread" has reminded me of the excellent design choice Esquerres is making. Again with angel, again with memories of the car.

I earmarked the Harry Harrison site. So far it's what having 2000ad online is all about, thanks too, Mike.

Defoe is appropriately B&W but with the right colourist on the job, because the inkwork is SO deftly done and I reckon an American market would lap it up. So would I with all the american trimmings.

Red Seas too. It can be done. But it can be done very badly or spot on. There is no third way I think.

General / Stainless Steel Rat... Has it aged well?

Hi, Krombasher here. We talk on the board about classics and stories we all have a sentiment for, be it good or bad. One of the earliest sagas I can remember is of the title character to this topic. I often wonder what became of the SSR and it hit me that maybe the online community are not big fans of this story. Yet in my youth I loved to see the SSR in action. Based on James Coburn's "In like Flynn", I still wonder what happened to the character and whether he's weathered the test of time okay.

I'd love to hear how the hardcore readership feel about the writing of the plot or the character development, the social impact and the design attributes.

I remember his swish vehicle and what I've mentioned above but little else. I'm thinking he was not one of the greatest creations as far as the Galaxies Greatest is concerned as not much mention of him was given on the old board. Board members hardly ever bring him up. This begs the question was he ever really that good or was my young mind just easily blown away by him, as naively as the women by Dante, whom I figure he was a very early precursor to.

Any thoughts, Hive Mind?

It already has the IMG code on the URL.

DO NOT use the IMG button ontop of this. It only cancels it out. :P

Yeah, 3D, Firstly; There's a img button above yer post box. Use it with a Web URL or, if you have a file image, get a photobucket account, upload them onto that and then transfer them from there onto here. Once you are in photobucket, the rest is a portion of tart.

Nice one.
