Come on fellas. Suck it in.

It Isn't the board that makes the site its the people.

I remember being on that stage where Jim C is now. "giving it a go..." but I'm as addicted to the place already.

I know that old board was easy gossip grab and this one can be aswell but if we don't get up to date new boarders won't come and advertisers get very nervous about that most of all. Anytway As much as you're all into the auld boarde Newbies have no idea how to get to speak to all of you funtastic comic weilders.

Take it easy and don't expect too much. It'll be a lot better when the progs are up and the tuck shops open!

Can I say more on the Defoe story? Only, that, the way he weaves Fear's role into this story, to the subsequent characters is thrill-busting. Does he only write in a trade expectancy, now?

I'm glad you agree guys, but boy, do I need to step up my proofreading.

Riproarirng prog!

The best selection of this current run.

Great  cover, great Dredd, great, Defoe, great Vort, great Sin Dex, great Dante.

Dredd's chase scene is excellent. Now that's how a comic should read! It seems Mr Wagner is pooling all his experience of comics from Action and beyond to create this episode*. I returned to one panel to look at the art and found it to be quite a weak picture of Dredd, as a pose to the phenomenal work, the art team have produced so far. The writing is that good though, I put it down to my own fussiness.
And Mr Mills! Now this is Mills on top form, intricately weaving fact and fictions seemlessly. The art is crisp and dark as V for Vendetta too.(imho) But the Vort!!? WHY lord! Why, did he go and do that.  Remarkable. The movement in the art gave me a queasy uneasiness, of being there. Sin Dex stretched, like the colourful pair of spandex of Joseph himself.Kitchy, dramatic and stylish thriller. Buttressing the end of the comic is Dante of course. Even if its not as strong as last weeks episode, there is all the story "there". From the opening panel to the breakdown of the White Army.

Scrotneeg!

*Which I'm sure he has every week. Just .. this week it is so much the clearer to me.

Overall, I've enjoyed the Galactic Bum saga. It's been refreshing, not to mention excellent to see the Matador of the mark relaxed and showing loving drifts of line.

Enough with the poetry, as I remark upon the duo team. Its been like a weekend in the pub wi' the two scots, /Grant and Wagner.

A really easy going story holding possible overheard conversations at their ideas camp. ei The Frog and Partidge.(made up pub).

Nice bits of satire at some points and maybe even a dig at themselves as they get slightly nostalgic about their working together in comics.

All in all... good read.

Quoterough with the smooth. But not if it's rough I've already taken! Not amused by this prospect.

Well I only got a bit of rough at the time as I was exploring the real roughs as part of research.

I think Dredd post Bisley or pre-emptive of Bisley doing him would look pretty smooth on my shelf. I think it'd be a coup if I got it free too.

I love how even at different places and different times, RAC and Bolt are striking their, atypical, hero hands on hips pose..

(s) Talking of kids;-

The third cover reminds me of when I got the shit kicked out of me when I was ten after taking the piss out of a few teenage girls. There was as many there as are in the picture.

And yes, after a good slapping, there may well have been a brain-in-a-jar girl, slyly dropped into my peripheral. 8-)

The tickets have sold out. The rates have gone through the roof.

My band are still going  to go to see if we are tough enough to play, this sort of thing.

Radiohead played at Trafford Cricket Ground, this weekend and a friend was passed some tickets at a cut rate because another mate had to pay his supplyer.

He got there to find ticket a third of the price.

And still; Its gonna be lovely to see the Blackpool Tower with an Anarchy flag flapping from its peak.

Doherty and Burns' art probably have a polarized readership. But even when the storys underbelly is scraping along the ground a tad, you still oggle at the work through the art.

There were promises to open Aimee's character up and this graphics team have really done it. In a stylish, well written, none too formulative way.

Any squaxx out there able to fill me in on the McCready situation? I was off lawschool sick that afternoon.

QuoteIf you're speaking of Powell's, I have been to "his" "house" in Portland OR. Five stories high and takes up a whole city block. A religious experiance for a book lover.
