I may be controversial in saying this, but does it not look as if it would have been more polite to ask a regular on the board to do the inking?

I bet theres a few thinking; wtf? I could do better 'n that! A possibility that there may not even be an ask for money, either.

It puts me off buying it when the covers gets a mantle-piece like the editor's momma's.

kwim.

I think there needs to be certain qualities taken into account.

Like, how many threads you've started over the length of time you have been on.

How many were popular.

How many provide homage and publicity to 2000ad.

How  many individual posts make sense.

Etc.

TBH not that I'm one to be able to judge but your claim looks seriously lacking. Sorry.

I thought the artist for Dredd had a very Kev O'Nielly quality.

I've yet to read features. I think a featured writer or artist should have an early version of his of her work in the meg that very month.

Lastly the conversation between writer of The Angel Gang and artist.

Writer- ...Yeah and can you give it an etchy quality to is Steve?

Artist- Yes Si but that's gonna take me for-frikkin-ever...!

Ahaha. It was made up, though using factual names the whole conversation is a product of my own making. I do not refer to either artist as  somebody I am vaguely familiar with.

To be honest, I'd rather find out how to or how not  to present a graphic story, than another piss up the wall.

The opening scenes to Dirty Harry.That score is the beans.

Come to think of it; any downtown driving scene in Taxi Driver. Sheeit, the climatic gunfight in the penultimate scenes.

The Ray Harryhausen , Dragon's teeth warriors in Jason and the Argonauts kept me going back for more.
Music score is excellent and the acting incredibley gelling with the animation.

The Stopwatch scene in a Few Dollars More. The music is called Paying off old debts or something?

The Boomerang scene in Mad Max two stuck out. The first time I saw a kid get his grevious bodily harm in first in a film. Fingers!!

Bulletproof Monk (on tonight) has been described as "comic book style" action film..

I supposed it is a bit of a drifting plate but does anyone have a few markers which determine the category of a story.

With FQP, you have certain styles fitting each genre.

Between Mangaquake and Future quake there are def'nate quotas. But when Something Wicked comes along, there is also a Tales of the unexpected to tales of the bizarre. Is there trouble there?

I know this may have been brought up before but as we end 2007 shortly,I was wondering;

Watching the Truman Show and reading Button Man, with satire in Dredd and the War reflectology of ABCs;

What does the board recognise as sci-fi and where, if anywhere, is the line drawn?
