I am tempted by the complete Eightball collection for $120 just need to work out if I can put the money aside for it. Already splurged on the Zenith collected book recently. Not sure the lass will be happy with another £100+ spend on a book xD

Just got in from work to find Drokk #1 and Zarjaz #19 waiting for me :D Will read them in the morning when I am not knackered, thanks for the quick delivery, looking forward to reading them :D

Ah well, apparently my sub was running up to issue #9 so I guess I will never seen #2 or the other 7 issues.

Shame as it was decent, just plagued with problems. I guess a lack of money/funding. A printer isn't that bad, had to be lack of payment for issues not to be sent out.

Mine arrived last night and left with a neighbour. Collected it and then had to go to work due to on-call.

Was planning on reading it tonight and again on-call xD Just opened it, I have number 46 of 1000, it looks great, great package, only read small parts of Zenith so 80% of this will be all new material to me :D

My thing for hard backs and not having the dust covers on them, I was glad to see that the actual Hard cover has a design on it and just the title of the book embossed in it like most Marvel/DC.

Good job on the book lads.

Just back in again from on-call so I am hoping I will get time tomorrow to sit down and start chugging through it.

Speak of the Devil, just received this from Print Media, still no mention of #2 or a date when to expect it:

QuoteDear Grey M@a

Thank you for your letter about your missing subscription copy and we apologize for the lack of a speedy reply to your earlier emails. As you will have already guessed, we are trying to address a number of administrative difficulties, not helped by the receipt of incorrect information as regards the dispatch of subscription copies from our UK printer.

While we are still concerned, after many set backs, that subscription copies may again be delayed we are now hopeful they will be dispatched very soon. As soon as they are, we will inform all subscribers who have chosen to be on our mailing list.

We have also of course, (again, obviously), revised the release date of STRIP Magazine Issue 3. While the issue has been prepared for some time it has also been affected by the same issues impacting on the rest of this project.

However, we do at last appear to be reaching some resolution of these difficulties and, while like you we remain cautious and therefore do not wish to commit to definite announcements or release dates, we are optimistic that we might finally be "through the tunnel" very shortly and will have good news for you and all our readers.

Our publisher Ivo Milicevic is planning to be at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival next month, where we hope readers will have the chance to ask him about STRIP and our other publishing plans.

Yours sincerely

Pavel Rakic

It seems #2 wasn't sent last week as claimed on the FaceBook page so wondering where the info is coming from. I'll believe it when I see it. At least its a reply :)

So much goodwill for this publication but its seems to be in something of a nose-dive. Tbh I have pretty much
written off my sub at this stage.

Subs (and comps) for #2 were absolutely, positively, 100% supposed to have been sent out weeks ago and, of course, haven't been. At this point, even my goodwill is pretty much exhausted and I just don't have the energy to try and find an upside or glimmer of future hope since every every previous assurance on that score seems to have been nothing but hot air.

Which is a depressing admission and in no way reflects on the contributors or the small but insanely dedicated bunch of people who've tried to keep this project on the rails.

Bah.

Jim

I still haven't received the sub copy and I have even emailed them on several occasions and not had a single reply out of them. Wouldn't mind if you got some sort of reply from them but the amount of emails sent from what I can see from other subs and there is nothing coming back from Print Media.

TBH I think the subs are going to lose out on their payments and copies. Last time I checked on my Sub, I was told I had 9 issues left so I guess I got issue 1 and nothing since so will lose out of 8 issues and I guess  can say goodbye to even trying to get a refund on the sub.

As others have said, goodwill is running short now, we've been told 3 times #2 has been sent to subs and no subs have received their copies on either promise.

I think I have just given up on this book now, even the local WHSmiths and Comic shops haven't seen issue two recently.

That would be me who bid on the cover, the lad I was bidding for is over the moon :D

Arrived today btw and its perfect. Sent a email with a pic to the dude and he was asking if he could pop around Saturday morning when he lands. I told him to bugger off at 4am xD

Thanks again btw, you made a friend of mine very happy :D

Personally I am happy with whichever cover I get, its the stories I buy it for not the special covers. They are only gonna be read once and then in a few years go back to certain progs for storylines etc.

I saw that auction for the other copy of cover 1 of 2, went for £37 in total in the end xD mad amounts of money just for a cover of the most recent issue 0.o

Copy arrived today, thanks Alex, looking forward to reading it this evening :D

I don't have a FaceBook account but I have had a look at it to see what issues were with subs etc in the past.

I have dropped an email to them to ask about the subs but I find I rarely get a reply from them. Only reply I have ever had was with how many issues were left on the sub itself.

I was tempted to grab a copy at the local WHSmith but they are sold out from what I can see.

Just waiting for a reply to the email or for issue 2 to arrive.

The comic incorporates some of the stuff that was in Wasted originally.
It's like a comic version of a directors cut :)

Great :D Looking forward to it :D

Hi All

I have pdf copies of both VVW variants for those of you who like a digital fix. (There are one or two of you out there)

And for those who prefer the real thing in your hands (careful now) the second run is off at the printers now.

PM me if you want details.
(If you have recently contacted me about a second print copy you are on the list, no worries)

Cheers.

Just sent a PM regarding a copy of the second print run, glad there is another run as missed the first run. Do you have digital copies or plans to print the run from the wasted magazines?

Grey I don't think that Strip are entirely sure what happened to the subs. No-one has received their copy.

Thanks for the heads up, I guess we are just waiting it out for a week or so more?

After the email sent on July 28th stating that the sub copies had gone out with the WHSmith copies, any subs got theirs yet? Wondering if my #2 is missing or if the sub copies just haven't shown as yet.

Thanks

Call me a dunce , but if there have only been 119 people online today ( as of 18.33 ) , how come half have sold? I presume you have to be logged in to order one?

Seems to be a lot of people stateside ordering. Don't think you have to be logged into the forum to use the shop?

I GOT ONE

Was it my imagination, or was my browser and the payment process painfully slower :)
SagePay sat there from 6pm - 6:05 trying to load, guess the mad rush bogged it down a little :)
