I'm very pumped for this, id software usually deliver the goods.

The game will probably be in development for a couple more years though, they take their time.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the must have game. My favorite series.

If you're into fighting games and don't already them for Xbox 360, I recommend Soul Calibur IV and Street Fighter IV.

Maybe they'll release a separate Downlode Tales book, like the Tales of the Dead Man book? It'd be nice.

Announcements / Re: 2000 AD Website Back and Badass!

The site is looking good! Nice to have the individual issues information back, but I did prefer the old layout for that info, or the www.2000ad.org layout.

If Woody Harrelson is in it, I can't miss it. Okay, not always, but he is great. :D

General / Judge Dredd: The Lost Cases
26 August, 2009, 06:29:44 PM
I've seen this mentioned on here a couple times, but no real info on it. It's probably cool enough to deserve its own topic, I'm guessing. 8)

Anyone have some info on this Lost Cases thing? Where was it announced, does it have a release date, etc?

I was just reading the Dredd tale "A Real Xmas Story" from prog 502, wacky stuff.

It's the first Dredd story that I've noticed breaking the fourth wall, what with the narrator toying around and changing things magically in the story.

And of course, Dredd literally looks at us the reader and wishes us a Merry Christmas as well at the end.

Pretty odd, but definitely classic. Any other notable examples of this in Dredd or 2000AD in general?

Drokk it, I accidentally posted in the wrong subforum.

Ignore this... or, perhaps party instead?  :D

This topic can now be about how cool Max Normal is. The pinstripe freak really needs to make a comeback.

I noticed the Ace Trucking Co story running through prog 498, The Garpetbaggers, was credited to Grant/Grover. Grover is legendary. :D

Savage Dragon, Invincible, and Dark Horse's Conan comics are great stuff.

Savage Dragon is going strong with 150+ issues, all written/illustrated by the creator Erik Larsen. Invincible is by the author of Walking Dead, and Conan is Conan.

I see the Akira recommendation there, so I'll throw in some manga too:

Monster, Rurouni Kenshin, Death Note, Blade of the Immortal, and Bastard!! are all great ones.

Nancy Allen is great, especially in RoboCop. :D But no, she's not in Scarface.

Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, screenplay by Oliver Stone fresh off of Conan the Barbarian... what more could one need?
