It is a clever idea - Dredd is sometimes a piss take of American Empire and in this case an element of the British one. Shoes the similarities plus it looks cool!

You over estimate me alas. I was going for the more direct Uncle Sam - your country needs you image but didn't get the head tilt right and didn't emphasize the tilt forward enough to make that clear... sooo I'm going to go with your idea - I'm bloody smart me!

Well carrying on from yesterdays 15 minute(ish) effort and finding a nice 'inking' brush thing on Paint for Windows 7 AND cos its been quietish in work today I've penciled something I'm going to try to ink in Paint of all things... more than 15 minutes, not finished so I guess here will do?

The next Rebellion 2000AD game should be 'you are Tharg'

Pick your roster of droids and earn points to build new ones. The choices you make decide how much Thrill power each issue has.

Run round the Nerve Centre producing Progs, Megazines and Specials and then as you make the deadline watch as the AI Message Board rips your work to pieces and slags you off.

Whilst fighting the evil Dictators of Zrag can you produce a product that is truly thrill powered and dare you play the ultra hard 'make the Megazine successful' level.

Now that's a game I'd gladly play!

There's something very Planet of the Apes about the Monkey's make-up. Could be fun.

From the minute I answered Western to the first question I could see what was coming!

Now I'm not really an artist type but a couple of things inspired this one being a doodle I did in a meeting, second the way Mybrothergrimm was drawing the lighting on Dredd's visor and third a determination to draw Dredd doing something other than stirring.

Anyway I'm not a artist so please forgive a couple of cheats - the doodle I did has helped a great deal and when I realised the helmet was wonky I started to go over the 15 minutes and then stopped. Anyhoo all that said I am quite pleased with this.

I remember it but only vaguely a friend of mine was really into it. I have to be honest I don't remember it that fondly either. Covers aside it wasn't great and kinda reminded me of the very early Cerebus stuff pre issue 14. Not great but not terrible.

I'm with you with Defoe. I think its the whole cranking cars and guns and stuff into the piece kinda draws me out of any involvement in the story.
