This one is pretty clear cut and with a day to go there isn't much to play for, but still well worth getting your veiw heard. I'll wrap up in the morning.

Last day here and it closer than I thought it would be, still not close but getting there. Who knows what todays votes might do?

Round 3 heads towards its conclusion and things aren't getting any easier. It's time to start thinking about how hard Round 4 is gonna be cos lets face it as we near having just 64 thrills left we know they are all (well almost all) gonna be beauties and the tough ties we see this week will be the regular head scratchers in a couple of weeks time. Arh remember how easy Round 2 was!

This is the tough tie to end the week... or is it. I love Fall of Deadworld, but even confusathon 'Fervant and Lobe' was able to draw votes off it last round, though the result was clear. So it goes for FoD which does divide opinion. Skizz on the other hand is The Wizard of Northampton's finest work in 2000ad (come on, come on all you Halo Jones fan - I mean I love Halo Jones but Skizz is SOOOOOoooo good) and I enjoy the Baike stuff that followed. So while it might seem a tough tie will it actually be very one sided?

Just reply in this thread naming your favourite thrill of these two series at the beginning of your post (or use Bold tags so I can spot it easily) and say what you like about these wonderful stories after that.

Match ends early on the morning of Sunday 26th June and the winner gets a place in Round 4 (of 9!!!).

What on Earth is ALL of this?

For those that need 'um and can be bothered to follow 'um there's some simple rules

Any questions, just ask as ever - and have FUN

Tough tie to end the week... I mean not this one the other one today. I mean this one is a shue win for Nick Stone and co who hardly had to draw breath to see off Stalag 666 last round. I've still not forgiven Dash Decent for doing for Department K in Round 1's biggest travesty, but it got an easy draw against Zombie Army last time. That luck ends here?

VOTING CLOSED

Not particularly close here, both great thrills getting plenty of praise. One thing this has reminded me to look at a bit closer as we enter these later rounds is what chance Meg thrills have against Prog thrills. Does being in the Meg just reduce your presence and thus chance for votes? I'm not sure there are many Meg thrills left? For now though

Diaboliks

Will be dark and deadly in Round 4.

VOTING CLOSED

Pretty straight forward, but not all one way. Its good to see great modern(ish) thrill wiping away nostaglia around fun but superflous thrills - even ones about the Mighty One himself away.

Ichabod Azrael

Will still not be getting it full title in Round 4.

Does this include future Red? Regardless, Durham Red it is.

Yes it does.

David has done it again. Hibernia Comics have their latest volume out a deep dive into Battle Action written by our own magnificent David Bishop - once of Tharg's guilded cage. Looks like another triumph and perfectly timed as a campaign piece to the new Special.

You can (and should) buy it here

Similar scoring pattern on the second tie today as the first. Seems to be a clear leader, but the other thrill is pulling in the votes as well. Though fair to say this one does seem clear cut. We know for sure tomorrow.

Seems pretty clear whose going to be riding into the sunset that is Round 4, but this one is certainly not all one way traffic so who knows what this last day will bring, well Tomorrow knows...

Doghouse double bill today and the deadly and delightful Durham Red, doubles down on the Top Dogs ... appearance... damnit couldn't think of a 'd' word there. It's all her iterations we need to consider here, which makes DR a much trickier thrill to decide about. The thrill only just saw off Return to Armageddon last round. So goes into this against new favourite Feral and Foe, who've only had a see off Juliet November, as a slight favourite? Let's see how that plays out

Well each Round some poor Thrill has to draw the tourney favourite. Last time it was Angel Gang and this time it's Absalom. An immensely popular series, nicely contained and finished now so it makes for a satisfying complete read. As such it was able to relatively easily see off even a great thrill like Atavar. But if we're honest this tie is more about seeing how well Strontium Dog does against a thrill of this quality as it surely prepares itself for even tougher challenges ahead... or are we heading towards the upset of the century?

See Dad, see!

That's a great result but the field is wide open. If we can't have Wagner its great there's so much talent picking up the slack.

I really enjoyed Matt Smith, done a good job as Tharg's little helper too!
