They won't publish a report of court proceedings unless they have a reporter who was there at the time. Newspapers have a policy that they should give the outcome of cases they've reported previously, especially if the plea was not guilty, but sometimes staffing or other issues mean it doesn't happen.
There's no possibility that, this long after the case, they will report its outcome in the paper, but well done to them for listening, and taking the story off the web.

Thanks for the info. Its useful to know that they do have such a policy. Wish I'd been as proactive as those who e-mailed straight away as then they wouldn't have the excuse that too much time has passed for it to be relevant.
