Pretty much love everything Ian has done and can’t say the same about Abnett but he’s never not good and his wares are broader and more pervasive. So a technical win to him while a tip of the hat and directors fortnight award to Ian.

Pat Mills. Not just for his writing but for his dedication to producing talented original artists on his work.

From prog one to the recent series of Defoe he’s delivered.

Anyone read this. IDW mini by Brandon Easton and Kei Zama - two creators I don't really know at all. Its a bloomin' good read.

Dredd takes a bit of a back seat as we get a Vegaesque lead drive the story. An ex Cadet carrying what he thinks are sex drugs, but turn out to be something much more sinister indeed. Its got some interesting ideas bubbling away and I like the way he uses Dredd - even if some bit might make folks prickle I think he does a pretty good Joe. All in all a brisk and decent read. Not 100% on the art but its far from terrible. If this one keeps up like this could be one of the best IDW have done.

After years of buying their floppies I gave up and decided to tradewait - is it 2000ad-verse Dredd, IDW series 1-verse Dredd or that weird old-man beard Dredd?

Maybe the collapse of American comics will lure Al back to Dredd for a while, because that was fantastic.

And the Red Seas was lovely, Yeowell’s Classic pensmanship always a joy and the effects-bubbles only page a pure comics thrill - kudos to Jim if he was involved in that. Just great.

Thanks Cyber-Matt, you’re a man of fine taste.

Certain people here have been negging Rob Williams Dredd for a long time but for me he’s the best bar-Wagner there is. But I guess some find it fine to praise Wagner for his terse scripts then criticise Williams for writing silent man Dredd.

Low Life, Hershey, Titan, The Small House - simply the best stuff we’ve had since Day of Chaos. Only Ewing came close and he didn’t hang around.

Ace Trucking Co was the name of a prominent US 1970s improv comedy group.

Proteus Vex should go into the US monthly along with a big push saying ‘You liked Prophet, read this’.

Much like Shakara.

Henry Flint man, a genius.

Phone them, they're very good at sorting out that kind of thing.

I know but what usually happens is they send a replacement and then a month later the original arrives. Then I send one back as I don’t want to profit. What’s annoying is rebellion stuff gets there in 48 hours but subs stuff often goes MIA for 2 plus weeks. It’s clear the post office / subs handling company have an issue because it’s a regular thing yet I’ve no problem with any other post including direct from 2000ad
