Classic rule of character design - be able to identify the character from their silhouette... Job done.

Good stuff PJ, we'll all look forward to seeing what you learn  ;)

A single edition that put together the very best of the non-epics pre-Prog 500 stuff would have been nice. I know we all have it probably several times over but it would have been a good excuse for a perfect edition for the nostalgia market.

Maybe they'll do that as the Dredd element in the 2000ad collection.

The American Reaper page count complaint is a tad Donald Trump - when it appeaered the page count of the meg went up without affecting the price or the ammount of other material.

Personally I liked it in a 'all in one read' way.

There is one Dredd author whose efforts I think stink the house out but I don't really think the forum is the place for such conversations.

There was a small Nemesis figure produced by Unbox Industries several years ago. It came in various editions (colours) and was sold briefly by Rebellion on this site.

http://www.djfood.org/pete-fowlers-nemesis-figure-from-unbox-industries/

ThreeA initially included a mention of Nemesis when they 'relaunched' the 1/12 line as one of six figures they were going to produce. However since then there has been no mention and it clearly isn't in the works in the near future. Should the line continue you might hope there would be a nemesis as (1) it was something they once mentioned (2) its part of the 2000AD era they are focused on.

Been over this sort of thing too many times and have made my own peace with my inner ravening toy fiend.

When all's said and done I'm still over Weather Control I have not one, but two 1/6 Dredds on the way and a couple of the wee ones with Lawmasters already. Add Mongrol, Ro-Jaws, Sam Slade, Gronks, Judge Fishes, Tharg and the Dark Judges and I'm a very happy fan!

Quite a happy and positive toy collector myself, just object to BPP's deliberately inflammatory assertions that if someone makes a QC comment here or mentions a different Dredd figure that it is somehow the cause of the demise of the line. It's absolutely crazy. It's a limited market and a niche product. Mezco don't appear to be following up their Dredd figures for the same reasons.

There is nothing 'deliberately inflammatory' about my statements. Unlike you who has failed to acknowledge your misrepresentation on 3A's policy on loss making lines.

But that's okay, I've made my point about being positive about this chance we've been given, some keyboard warriors just want to bash on as they can't bear for a moment to look at their own clay feet.

I don't need Business Studies 101 thanks, you stated that you doubted 3A made a loss on the lines, I pointed out they are quite open that they do make a loss on several of their lines.

Being positive about their products engenders an atmosphere where people are prepared to take a chance and join the buying side. Being, as we have seen here and on other forums, only too quick to post negitivity, snide supposition, falsehoods and general disparagement fosters a bad image for a company trying to do something quite special and close to the heart of us all.

Is the assertion here that 3A produces these figures at a loss? That they are in it for the love alone. I would question that, maybe the margins are lower but I would bet they would only pull the line if they either were not making a profit or whether they could be making a greater profit with another product.

ThreeA have stated quite openly that they operate several lines at a loss and cross subsidise from more popular lines (Transformers, Isobel Pasha). As 2000ad must rank alongside their least supported lines it is not unreasonable to suspect they make little to no money on it overall.

As 3A have said the Alpha, Ro-Jaws and Satanus are all pushed back for unfeasible costs / low sales estimates it puts in perspective the constant negativity and outright false groundless suppositions of certain folk here.

Well done.

Are the people you are referring to the very same people who have bought most/all of what 3a have released?

Surely it's the people who aren't buying and commenting on what they have bought that are the issue?

There is a line between buying something / seeking support if there is a flaw and buying something and constantly complaining that its not X,Y or Z. Likewise making up false rumours about the company, using discussion to heavily favour another firms products, snipe at the ethos and endeavours of the company and generally approaching with an entitled apathetic attitude that does nothing to foster and generate support for the one quality line of 2000AD figures that only exists because the helm of the company is a total 2000AD fan, and ex droid, whose commitment to 2000AD merch far outstrips anyone bemoaning here.

You wont know what you had till its gone.

That Cam Kennedy sketch is just beautiful.

I mean all the pics posted are fantastic (sploosh at that Jock Dredd) but there is something about Cam's style that just connects with (I'd guess) every 2000ad reader of a certain age.

An utter gent and an astouding comics talent.

Ah, The Helltreckers... How I love thee.

In the modern era of comics everyone is so precious about characters and keeping them alive despite constant impending peril. Here's classic UK kids comics..... Everyone (or near everyone) dies. Just a question of how. HURRAH.

Despite all the great Dredd (and Dirty Frank) so far this story would be hard to shift from a top 10 of the series. It's just so brilliantly brutal.
