Film & TV / Re: Lost Season 5

The last few episodes with the french survivors have got me thinking, does anyone else think that the Temple is underneath the Barracks?  Last season when the mercenaries were attacking the complex Ben squeezes through a crack in the wall in his house with hieroglyphics on the sides and says he will be back soon, moments later the smoke monster comes and kills the mercs. I was thinking that maybe Ben tells smokey that those guys are threatening the temple and they should be killed.  I may be wrong since I haven't rewatched that episode but the electric fence is also switched off and it attacks nobody other than the armed intruders.  I think smokey is so angry because it has been shut out of the temple since dharma/others arrived.  My theory is that that is where Richard and the others disappeared to when they said they were retreating to the temple, they are actually underground the Barracks and how easy is it to hide that many people above ground for about 15 episodes/ days? The barracks are built on quite a steep hill right at the centre of the island and no flashbacks of the last 20 years or so actually show the temple + the fact that no losties have stumbled upon it in the jungle either seems to suggest that it is no longer actually above ground and obvious. In the flashbacks when Ben was a child Richard certainly seems determined to break through the fence and retake that part of the island from dharma...

Just a quick message to say thanks Rich and Vicky for a fantastic weekend! I don't know how you do it with the weather and cost complicating things but somehow you manage.  Had a great 2 days, won 3 times on the raffle!  The prize I won created by Bolt is amazing. Attempting to keep up with the bids in the auction was near impossible but luckily for children 1st there were some people out there not as cheap as me .  It was great to finally have a chat with Mike Carroll this year as I could only stick around for 1 day in '08.  Hope you can encourage some funding for next year, although in this area if it's not to do with a big sports event or HIE launch or something they seem to find it difficult getting their heads round it.  Got myself a batman sketch from Gary Erskine similar to the one a few pages back and a Joker sketch from the amazing Leigh Gallagher. Here's a little taster of the things I won/bought, all in all well worth the ticket price!

Just quickly created an account to say thanks to Vicky and Rich for a fantastic weekend!  The effort and time you spent on the event was obvious, it can't have been easy to get all those artists and guests up to Inverness with the weather and distance etc.
Missed out on some great things in the auction but some original Colin Macneil artwork made up for that on Sunday!  Keep championing comic-cons for us convention-deprived Highlanders please :)
