Started off not too bad, if a little generic, and then it just disappeared up its arsehole after the 'twist', getting all mopey and going off into being some other type of film altogether - just not a clever or interesting one, in my opinion. It all seems in retrospect to be a film made because once upon a time:
"What would a real superhero guy do? I bet he'd tell some guy he was gonna stick some other guy's head up that guy's ass - but he'd totally literally do it for real!"
"Holy fucking shit, dude - you totally need to write that shit down!"
"Already taken care of, buddy - the guy who wrote and produced Batman and Robin offered me two mil!"
Mind you, at least unlike Heroes, the crew of Hancock haven't tried to convince us they've never heard of Superman or something. I wouldn't say it was a bad film or anything, just a bit aimless and not terribly engaging.
