The battery light on my Dell 9300 has started flashing... anyone else with a Dell experience this??

I suspect the battery is begining to fail, it doesn't hold a charge for more than about an hour (maybe a bit longer), so this may be related to that.

Any ideas??

Well it's getting closer to that time again as enter my last week of work for 2007.

Office do on Thursday (pics to follow) and a final push to get the last paper off to the printers by close on Friday, with luck.

Not back untill 7th Jan so I've a good 2 and a half weeks to eat, drink, play wii and lay in bed until I decide it's time to get up.

In this time I have to find a place to live, move in, get the phone line sorted followed by broadband, read The Black Dossier, re read The Dark Knight Returns, get issue 2 of 'Good Craic Comics' lettered and ready for print in the new year, finish off the comicartsketchbook website and give it to the programmer to sort out.... hmmm quite a bit to do there.

So, what are your plans for the holidays?

I have a domaine name www.comicartsketchbook.com when I go there now I get redirected to some bloody viagra site!!

Is the message I'm getting on my sons conmputer.

I go away for a few days (thanks to Rufus for his hospitality) and come back to find the boys new laptop has stopped displaying web pages.

I't deffo connected via the wireless router, good signal and all that but when IE is started up all I get is that message.

Suggestions of a solution anyone??

Watched ep1 last night.

Wasn't impressed.

A work mates widescreen laptop computer displays the screen image distorted, squashed to fit the screen.

My widescreen laptop does not have this problem and in fact I've never heard of this until she mentioned it to me.

I've looked at my settings and had a quick scout on google but couldn't find anything that might resolve the problem.

She says the screen was fine at one stage but she did something (can't remember what) and it changed to the stretched image.

Anyone any idea on how to correct this??

Planning a trip to Oz land over the new year.

Will be staying in Brisbane but want to visit Sydney for a few days.

How long is the flight between Brissy and Sydney?

The info I have says about half an hour but that seems a bit short.

Also wil have time to stop off at either Hong Kong or Bangcok (sp?) which should I go for?

Brilliant!!!!

Will soon be picking up a wii for the boy and am seeking advice from those in the know on what to purchase with it in way of accessories.

Extra controller is a given but what else should I look out for?

I understand the controllers have rechargable batteries and have seen a sort of 'docking station' where they can be placed to charge up.

What else should I get to fully appreciate the wii?

Am also investing in a 19" LCD monitor/TV but that's a bit further down the line.

An imac 20" in work keeps shutting down.

On restart it works for about 15mins and shuts down again.

Someone suggested resetting the PMU (power management unit) I tried this but still shutting down.

I then read that the PMU button has to be pressed for a few seconds (I just pushed it like an no/off button).

Would it be OK for me to try again pressing for a few seconds??

I understand that pressing the button more than once is a no-no. How long would I ave to wait before attempting again??

Suggestions/advice appreciated!!

the recovery of damaged jpeg files.

Have got pics from a sim card that are unopenable and need fixed.

Any suggestions for data recovery software (free if possible) or any other procedure for recovering such things much appreciated.

Opinions please... do you want Gibson back even though he was putting in sub par work (maybe just a bit rushed... I don't know) or are you happy with Williams taking over?

If not Williams, who would you have draw the strip?

Personally I love Gibsons work so I'd like him back, not sure who could replace him, Williams does have a good cartoony style but just doesn't hit the mark for me.

Great stuff, like an extended episode.

Usually when TV stuff gets the movie treatment it becomes a big 'movie event' with stuff happening that would'nt happen in the series, propbably because of bigger budget = bigger events etc..

If anything I'd say the TV show is more satirical, scathing, voilent etc.. the movie less so.
