Quick google serch came up with...

'The Power Mac G4 computer beeps three times at startup. Three beeps means that no RAM banks passed memory testing.'

Which doesn't sound too bad, replace the ram and that should do the trick.

Cheers.

Off Topic / Mac help needed...
23 June, 2007, 08:38:46 PM
Now I don't own a mac but the mother of my child just insisted she needed one for the work she was doing.

I'm convinced she only bought it because I suggested a PC would do the same job at a cheaper price, but no she knew best.

Well, this laptop mac is now not working, it is not working in a way I havn't seen a mac not working before (I work with macs so have plenty of experience of macs not working).

My son was using it online on some penguin chatroom thing. The computer froze, mouse pointer wouldn't move etc... yeah I know what you're thinking 'But wait, macs don't crash!!'. Yes they fucking do.

I had to depress the start button to get the machine to kick in again, but on this restart all I get is a few clicks of the machine starting up, a pause for a few seconds and then three beeps and nothing except the light on the release chatch for the laptop flashing intermittently.

I think the hard drive is buggered, I'm hopeing it's something simple, but experience with macs suggests it'll be very expensive to repair.

Any suggestions from any mac users here on the board as to what is happening??

Thanks in advance.

That was excellent, with only a few duff moments..

What a cliffhanger.

Possibly helped by drinking half a bottle of Bacardi before hand.

Fantastic.

Ah yes, the V&A...

Managed to get to this about 15 mins on the last day of the exhibition and was totally blown away by the artwork on display.

This was the first time I'd seen any sort of collection of comic artwork (apart from the stalls at UKCAC) and was hooked.

First time I heard of Rufus Dayglo too... I remember thinking 'how the fuck did he get all this artwork!'

I've met Rufus several times since (and donated a McMahon page I picked up at said UKCAC to his collection, well more sold than donated, it just seemed right he should have it) and asked him 'how the fuck did you get all that artwork?'.

I think he said something along the lines of 'by giving them (the artists) all my money'.

I'd love to organise something like that for Belfast, but never seem to get the time or know where to begin.

Thryllseeker I'd be happy to buy one here for you and post it over.

I'll get a postage rate to Australia and let you know what the total cost would be, just paypal me the money.

Is it out yet? I thought it was.

Shia LaBeouf...

I can't stand that guy... and for no real reason.. If it wasn't for the totty in Transformers I wouldn't have watched it.

He may just spoil this movie for me.

As for Ford, he looks just the same.

Not sute when it's set but how you gonna get the germans into a 50's/60's senario.

I want to see lots of CGI.. can't get enough of it.

I can also confirm that is Mr Rufus Dayglo.
