I quite like the Dredd film. It's biggest problem was trying to squeeze too much into too little space.

It should have been about The Angle Gang or about The Day The Law Died or about The Cursed Earth.

Once you?ve spent time introducing these elements and main characters into the film there is little time left to include a story as well.

It only runs for 90 mins or so and could easily do with another 30 mins to flesh things out a bit.

The opening 15 minuites or so of Dredd IS Judge Dredd, Mega City One looked fantastic, we had a block war, Rookie Judges, Lawmasters, Lawgivers
etc... great stuff.

The uniform is almost spot on, and instantly recignisable as Dredd albeit with a few practical modifications. It's a given that changes would be
made to the uniform, every other costumed comic book character that has made it to the screen has had a makeover. Just 'cause you can draw it don?t
mean you can make it work.

The biggest (well one of the biggest) complaints voiced about the film  was that Dredd took the helmet off, big deal, and what?? He took the helmet off, get over it.

It's not a Judge Dredd film, it's only based on Judge Dredd.

And as for these so called new Dredd movies, never gonna happen.

Help! / Computer tek help needed....

My mate is having trouble with his P.C.

It keeps rebooting when he starts it up.

Somtimes he'll get 10 minutes out of it before it reboots, sometimes it's immediate on restarting.

He's convinced he's got a virus, has run AVG but it comes up with nothing.

So, before he reformatts his hard drive can anyone offer possible solutions or recommend an antivirus thingy.

Cheers.

I too listen to Gervais on my way to work, that is until recently when I have been getting a 'format error' on my mp3 player when trying to listen to it.

Probably a fault with the player as it's had a few knocks and was giving me trouble in the past.

So, anyone suggest a cheap mp3 player replacement, need only be 512mb or whatever, don't need to convert my entire record collection to mp3 just at the moment.

Umpty Jr is the proud owner of the nemesis shirt, and I'm currenly sporting the Stronty Dog ink blot shirt.

They're very cool. Get them while you can, limited numbers only I think.

He's a patronising finger wagging git for a start, treating anyone who knows less than him with complete contempt

Just as it should be!

But yes, Tennant could be great.

Ain't no way Tennant is above Pertwee.

Your saying that Tennants limited screen time in the (disapointing, lackluster) crimbo episode is better than the total combined years of Pertwee as the good Doctor.

That's just mad.

Tennent has yet to prove himself, and although the potential is there, the jury is still out.

Sean Pertwee isn't good looking enough to play Constantine = are you a gay?

P.S. he isn't/didn't.

Pertwee has that rough edge look about him and it's a darn shame he isn't getting the roles he deserves (and he can act).

Buit most importantly of all, he's the son of the best Dr. Who EVA!!!

So... who should play Harry????

Actually, that new bond bloke wouldn't be too far off the mark, but we'll probably end up with Keanue (sp?) Reeves or Brad Pit if it gets americanised.

Sean Pertwee should have played Constantine but I'd give him a crack at this as well.

Jude Law might get a mention at some stage but he (for me) hasn't got the build for Button Man.

Suggestions?

Why not just print off a copy of the covers and stick them on the wall?

Putting your progs in sunlight is only gonna fade the artwork, reducing their value etc....

Keet 'em locked away in a cool dark dry place and only glimpse at them once every three years.
