Oh yeah, forgot about that.. although surley they would get paid a fee for the use of the character, the production company would get the profits from the movie.

Regardless, it would make a great film.

I'd like to see a Dredd movie at some stage in the future, but I think Rebellion should concentrate on other charachers first.

Button Man would make a great thriller, could be made on a relatively low buget and could pull in plenty at the box office, and raise the profile of 2000ad characters as a source for movie material. The profits could be reinvested in a bigger buget movie, lets say that Stronty Dog screenplay got dusted off and revised, then maybe go for another Dredd movie.

Lets face it Dredds name is mud in Hollywood, no-one is gonna finance a Dredd movie after the poor response to the Stallone flick. (I'll say again, I like it). Picture the scene.

Producer: Hey, we're looking for money to make a Judge Dredd movie, a cool comic book character from a top British comic.

Financer: Judge Dredd... that name rings a bell. Didn't Stallone make a Dredd movie ten years ago that bombed.

Producer: Errr, yeah, that's right...

Financer: GET THE FUCK OUTAHERE AN STOP WASTIN MY TIME!!!!

You see, when you look at it like that it's plain to see that a Dredd movie is a long way off, if it happens at all.

Yeah, support the movie not condem it before we've even seen a production design or a propper story synopsis. I for one am looking forward to the new movie, it's bound to capture the character of the comic spot on, Rebellion wouldn't have it any other way.

These vehicle designs, why not get Dredd artists to design the film. It just makes sense. And on that note why hasn't John Wagner been signed up for the movie. Rebellion keep bangin on about how they'er gonna br true to the strip, if so GET JOHN WAGNER TO WRITE THE BLUNNIN THING!!!!

P.S. only joking, it's gonna stink. Big Time.

I have to say I'd love another maga epic on the scale of The Apoc war or Cursed Earth. Pref with 1 good artist (Jock would be ideal, but with him on the loosers now ANY dredd from him is gonna be few and far between, just the odd cover I guess).

Multiple artists would work OK perhaps mixing Flint & Jock would work well.

If it takes a year to prepare then so be it.
