Comp finishes tonight, or is supposed to anyway. That fact that I've just downed a very nice bottle of shiraz may have some influence to the actual finishing time.

Next week I've got the Titan books PREACHER: DEAD OR ALIVE book. A collection of every PREACHER cover produced by the mighty Glenn Fabry.

That comp starts as soon as the Nemesis one finished, whenever that may be.

Sorry it's a day late, it's now up and running at ximoc.

This is a fantastic hardback book and will be sorry to see it go from ximoc towers.

Enter now... Enter often...

You've only got a week on this one, another comp will follow when this finishes.

Full credit to Andy for having the Balls to stand up to Pat Mills about his quality of work, In the same situation I just would have said 'Thanks Pat, thats great'....

But, why didn't he do the same to Garth Ennis when he submitted the script for Helter Skelter, which was a good idea, just poorly execuited.

I had ?2 each way on CHIVES and the same on IRIS BLEU.

Both horses failed to finish, and are probably glue by now, or dog food.

I also lost out on the sweepstake at work, so that's a double bugger!!!!

Havn't checked my lottery numbers yet, so ther's still hope...

Disregard everything I've said on this matter in this thread... I'm with the mighty JOCK, the man can do no wrong, and if it promotes the comic then that can only be a good thing.

Also liked the second cover best (the one with the aliens rather than the one with the queen).

There is only one reason for dual covers, and we all know what it is.

If Rebellion thought the covers were soooo good then they should have appeared on two seperate issues.

The cover with the aliens attacking dredd could have been used on just about any issue where Dredd and the aliens appear in the same frame (which is most of them), and the cover of teh queen alien could have been used for the issue with the final part of the story, simple as that.

It will be interesting to see what the sales figures for this issue are, I can't see it increasing the readership in general as only the people who read it now will be aware that there are two covers, so sales for that issue should go up, but for the following issue things should be business as usual.

It's a cheap trick milked to death my the US big hitters and is fooling NO-ONE!!

How long before we see foil covers, glow in the dark covers, imbossed covers, scratch & sniff covers, see thru covers, blank covers all in a 'limited edition'.

The moment I see a varient cover on ebay going for any amount of money I'm selling mine.

I know it's different but I like it, it looks like a suped up mega Astin Martin, although I think the film will suck big time.

Bill Paxon as Jeff Tracey and the TB pilots are teenagers!!! WHATTHEFUCK!!!!!!

I can't understand why Hollywood has to basterdise perfectly good ideas. Why buy the rights to an idea only to change it all?

I assume all the other vehicles will be 'updated' but I read in an interview that Joathan Frakes (Director) said that the rescue vehicles would have to look like the originals because that was half the appeal. I think they will change as much as the car has changed, it may not be a roller but it is pink, has six wheels and a perspex roof with a driver and a blond in the back. That description is FAB1.

It'll be interesting how the other stuff is handeled.

I do know that 2000AD artist Jim McCarthey is involved in the production designs for the film, and he, in my books, can do no wrong.
