Giant should be played by the black detective from NYPD Blue. No one else!!!

Judge Dredd wasn't in Daredevil, or did I miss something??

Death to all Aliens will be the competition prize on ximoc this week (as of Tuesday night, infact).

The extra rare tstuff is a Blitzsphere story that appeared in the 1983 2000AD annual.

It's a frickin brilliant book, lovely hardback with foil embosed dust jacket.

Got ximoc after midnight Tuesday to enter the comp.

Originally from Belfast - and on the subject of thevin' toe rag 'joy riders' the little shits have taken to using the car as a weapon to wipe out anyone they take a dislike to over here. That usually means someone from a different religion.

In that past few weeks a number of attacks have taken place with some deaths.

I'm with the opinion that if you steal a car and drive about like a carzyassedmotherfucker and you happen to crash and either injure or kill yourself THEN THAT'S JUST TOUGH SHIT!!! They even blame the police for chasing them!!!

'My wee Jimmy never dun nothin' 'til those peelers made 'im crash'

Same goes for housebreakers, you come into my house intending on doing some sort of harm (and why else would you be there at 2am) you've got what's commin to ya.

Anyway, rant over, I now live in Bangor (N.I.), about 11 miles from Belfast. Feel free to visit!!

I have to say that I'm a tad dissapointed at this Bolland cover, we all know he's the dogs bollox and all but I just get the impression he's not making the effort here.

And as far as Bolland drawing a full script is concerned, we can all forget that.

No.1 rebellion couldn't afford it.

No.2 Bolland would take FOREVER to do it.

No.3 When was the last time Bolland had a new strip printed, not just a one page effort, but 20 odd pages, or even a five page strip in a british book?

I can't remember the last time Bolland had new material printed, A1 maybe, and that was just a one page thing, Oh! I remember he had a one page thing in prog 500 (was it 500) that was censored by fleetway or something.

Whatever.

Ywsterdays Enterprise is one of my all time fave trek's. Fantastic.

And also, you know far too much about Star Trek to be healthy. I've never heard of some of these characters Edward Jellico? Harriman?

Ah yes FP on Denmark St. I remember it well.

Living in Ireland going to London was an infrequent event so I always had to plan my few days there to make sure I got around all the places I wanted. Denmark St. was always top of the list.

FP now has turned into a toy shop that also happens to sell comics.

FP in Belfast (once in independent retailer 'Talisman') is crammed with toys since becomming FP, although the staff remained the same (thankfully), as I've heard some horror stories of FP staff here on the board. In fact I'd nominate them for 'best FP staff un UK', If there were shuch an award.

Off Topic / ximoc comp for March ends soon.....
29 March, 2003, 12:23:14 AM
On Monday night to be exact.

April sees ximoc's first birthday, it's been a year since I started publishing the site.

I'm off out tomorrow night to celebrate, hoohaaa.

April will also have a fest of competitions, one a week for the month (well four in total anyway) to commerate the event, prizes include signed Ian Gibson Judge Anderson 'Hour of the Wolf' books, ABC Warriors 'The Black Hole' book and a few other things I havn't decided yet.

The near future of ximoc will see the addition of a comics to film section to be called 'in the frame' and the comic retailers index (as soon as I get a reasonable list).

We'll also have the return of 20 questions and I think Gordon Rennie will be first up for that.

As usual all, some or none of the above may or may not happen, just have to get the head down and get it sorted.

Cheers..

Off Topic / Boarders help required!!!
28 March, 2003, 06:39:43 PM
Part of ximoc.co.uk will be a directory of comic shops in the uk, so far I've managed to track down about 150 shops but I'm sure I'm missing lots more. Here's where you can help.

Can everyone email me with the name and address of the shop where they buy their comics?

I'm trying to get the most complete list of retailers possible for the site.

Thanks.
