*yawn* Cameron is a diet Michael Bay. Terrible film-maker.
Am I understanding that analogy correctly, you're putting the guy who made Aliens and T2 below Michael Bay?

Pludering evil Earth corporation raping a planet/moon of all it resources, the big 10 foot blue natives (Na'vi) dont like it and start stomping the humans. Corporations send in Marines (with future battle tech like Mechs, and those Halo looking drop ship thingies from the game screen shots) and new tech which is the Avatar, this is a big 10 foot bio-construction that is just like the Na'vi but has a human conscionus downloaded into it.
The main character is an ex-marine who's confined to a wheel chair and ends up in an Avatar, he goes native and joins the Na'vi. Mucho arse kicking and future combat happens.
At least I think thats the rough story outline from what I've been able to piece together from different articles on the game and effects and stuff.
Should be good but wouldn't count on it being the second coming, they're basicly saying the same thing as they were about Starwars prequals, you know how they can finally create digital characters that look real (which i think they achieved with Lord of the Rings, Gollumn is perfect) you wont be able to tell whats real and whats CGI, the 3D is meant to be quite subdued and used more to give the screen depth rather than make things fly out at you.

I'm keen, but I'm a fan of the Adventures of Baron Munchausen, so I'm probably a bit mental.
