Am already thinking these might have to be compiled into a wee book.

What, one to read on the toilet?

Natilda Stank was a rival of Chopper
which made him desperate to top her
He bought a huge board
Goodvibes said "Good Lord!
I'm sure Choppers whopper will stop her."

There was a hard stront named McNulty
Who got told off for language too salty
He replied "What was it I seid?
It's these lumps on my heid
They'd make any scunner's speech faulty."

There was a good dog named Gene
Who followed the call of the dream
He smashed up the swarm
And said "Get offa my lawn!
It's sacred 'cos it's our latrine!"

Westinghouse variable cartridge blaster (second armament: a bigger etc etc).

If the Judges are going be chasing me and shouting "Hi-ex!" at their guns, I want to be able to shout "Number 4 cartridge!" at mine.

Beat Les was their very first drummer.

I love that John Lennon comment when he was asked if Ringo was the best drummer in the world.

"He's not even the best drummer in the Beatles."

:D

Back on topic, I suppose I would have realised that GI females were called 'dolls' because of "Guys [GI's] & Dolls" if I'd thought about it long enough at the time....

Absolutely awesome, Minty!  But are you sure he's entitled to a full eagle at that age?

And how is visibility for him?  I hope he's not in danger of any mishaps.

Look forward to seeing some more pictures of your son in action.

[Thought - you could do some great comedy pictures with this - e.g. big Dredd and little Dredd, or have two big hefty guys handcuffed and on their knees and elbows with a 'dwarf' Dredd pointing his daystick at them as if sentencing them after taking them down.]

General / "Flesh" Lego (sort of)

We haven't had a Lego thread for a while...

I see Lego have a "Dino" range coming out about mid year - a range of sets with dinosaurs & trappers.  Have a look at this set for example - I love the third picture at the bottom in particular!

More of the range here:

Lego are also revamping their Batman range and bringing sets out including Superman & Wonder Woman.  They also have sets with Hulk, Iron Man, Wolverine, Spiderman etc on the way.  With deals with both DC and Marvel on foot, I wish they would make an approach to Rebellion!

Other Reviews / Re: Spines

Guys!  You're overlooking something even more serious!  The multi colour-coded Dredd sequence has been violated!

All Case File volume 1's (1, 11, 21 etc) have to have red spines, right?  And all volume 2's (2, 12, 22, etc) have to have yellow spines, etc etc.

The Cosh has time-travelled into the future and brought back the abomination that is Case Files 60.  It SHOULD be white, but the @#&*!%
made you look
ing thing's grey!

Speaking of Sinister Dexter, my son has been learning about Rome at school recently and has been marching around the house pretending to be a Centurion, chanting "Sinister, dexter, sinister, dexter..."

Apparently it means 'Left, right' in Latin.

Yes, hence 'ambiDEXTERous' means "like having two right hands".  And I seem to remember that 'sinister' got it's 'evil' connotations this way - left-handers being considered unnatural.

The Meltdown Man GN is about 14 quid - so picking up the two Xtreme Editions that also reprint it for 50p each looks like a bargain. On the downside you can't put them on the shelf with the other GNs but you do get two colour covers by the talented Cliff R.

Don't forget 2000AD has already featured strips drawn by Gibbons!

Hi Ian,

I'd be interested in the Dredds, the Sam Slades and the Venus title if they're still available.

Cheers,

Dash.
